Next Club Trip April 2008 Tokyo Disney Resort

Postby WayneG » Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:22 pm

Join Disney fans from around the world in celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Tokyo Disney resort. We will join with NFFC members and their families and members and friends of our club from Australia and overseas in this special trip.

Staying at the Tokyo Disney Resort Hilton. This hotel has already began accepting bookings at substantially discounted prices.
You can book now and guarantee your accommodation. To book:

1. Go to Tokyo Disney Resort on Google
2. Once there go to Resort Hotels
3. In the hotel section go to the official Hotel area and click on Hotel list
4. Then click on Hilton Tokyo Bay
5. Enter your selected dates and then continue button
6. Now sort by price
7. Then book

This site connects with the United Kingdom site for Hilton Hotels which allows you the ability to book this far in advance.
Get in early as everything will be sold out very soon. Plan to stay for 4 or 5 days before the 15th April to enjoy the parks before they get crowded for the anniversary and 4 or 5 days after to enjoy meeting Disney fans from around the world and enjoy the celebrations.
Cost per room/ night approx. A$150 booking no refund if you cancel. Or approx. A$190 with ability to cancel with full refund.

For further information Email Wayne on wgodfrey@agl.com.au or phone 02 9921 2959.

You will need to arrange your own flights and transfers. If you plan to see other parts of Japan I recommend doing that before you arrive at the Tokyo Disney Resort because from the @ 27th April for two weeks this is Japans peak travel period with a number of National holidays. More information on our web site in early 2007.

Regards

Wayne

Okay, okay - our arms have been twisted...I think we are pushing back our WDW trip and Disney Cruise in 2008 by 1 year, so we can attend the club trip to Tokyo :D

Still not 100% certain yet, but things are heading that way. Now I just have to work out how many days away it is and begin the countdown...:)

I'd love to go back to Tokyo so this is a definite possibility.

I still plan on going to Paris in September next year though.

Best of luck with the move up north.
Thanks. I just have to survive the packing and unpacking now.
p.s. Hope Horsham is clear of bushfires this weekend...
All clear so far, although it is 40 degrees under my pergola at the moment, so I daren't stand out in the sun. I'm already wishing away the sunburn from being in QLD two days ago. It'd be nice to be back near a beach right now. :)

Now we've done it. We booked our accommodation for this trip yesterday :D

We took the Tokyo Bay Hilton option with the buffet breakfast for around $200AUD a night (and that's for the two of us...not each - which is a great price - less than half what you'd normally pay)

Now I just have to start the countdown...we are flying out on April 6 2008 - so let me see, that's just 448 sleeps to go! haha..errr....boohoo...sob...!

Just a quick update on the Tokyo Bay Hilton accommodation deal - the special rates announced in Wayne's message above have now expired.

The current rates for the trip period are now around $570AUD per night.

There are rooms still available at the Tokyo Bay Hilton for the time period of this tour, but you may also want to shop around at nearby hotels for deals.

Most of you won't be interested, but it is just 119 more sleeps before we fly to Tokyo for the club trip.

That may seem like a lot, but it is nothing when you read one of my earlier messages here that said 448 to go! Wow - that was 329 days ago, time is flying by :)

Some updated news on the 25th Anniversary Celebrations at Tokyo Disneyland.

Beginning 15th April - a new daytime parade within Tokyo Disneyland titled "Jubilation". This parade has been designed by the same creative team and director of the "Parade of Dreams" at Disneyland Anaheim. April 7th will be the last day for the existing parade (Yay! That's our first day in the park, we'll get to see both!)

Also beginning April 15, Tokyo DisneySea (and Hotel Miracosta) will begin the "Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival" which will be a spring flower and music festival. This will conclude on June 30, 2008.

The Disney Gallery in Tokyo Disneyland, will be opening a new art exhibition on the 15th April based on the 25th Anniversary theme of "Unlock Your Wishes". This will coincide with a Disney Animated Film Festival in Ikspiari. This will conclude on August 31, 2008

On July 8, the new Tokyo Disneyland Hotel will be opened.

On October 1, the Cirque du Soleil Theatre at Tokyo Disneyland Resort will open.

In addition to these major events, there will also be new merchandise for the 25th, as well as a competition to "Unlock Your Wishes" (details on this are sketchy, but it appears to have been downsized from the original press release - I am waiting for further details on this to come out of Japan before publishing them here).

It has also been stated that the official hotels within the resort area are also taking part in the celebration (which I guess means that they'll have posters/25th theming etc.)

So there you go...who else wants to come?

And on a personal note, I purchased my flights today! :P
86 sleeps :D

EDIT: The 2007 Annual Report was released today, and it states the Tokyo Disneyland 25th Anniversary theme is "Unlock Your Wishes" - not "Unlock Your Dreams" as previously reported...things change fast in Disney circles!

EDIT 2: Seems the Annual Report was wrong - all the press releases for the 25th Anniversary were released by Disney today, and they all call it "Unlock Your Dreams" again - grrr, a nightmare for us web-editors!
