What are you currently listening?

For me the current CD in the car is a compilation I have made of Phil Collins. I have some tracks off a greatest hits album and as well I have the good tracks from Tarzan and Brother Bear. I am also rotating that with a CD I made with the parades and fireworks music from the last few years at Disneyland.

I just can't live without music so there's always something I'm listening to.

Ok... I'll have to fess up and say what I'm listening to right now is mostly not Disney.
Currently the ones that keep getting the repeat button clicked on in iTunes are:

Jason Mraz -( Song for a friend, Did you get my message, Forecast, Clockwatching, Wordplay)
The Benji Davis Project ( Wait, Heaven never seemed so small, Do it )
Josh Groban ( Mai, Don't give up, In her eyes, So she dances, Un Dia Llegara, L'Ultima Notta)
with a bit of Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Ol' Blue Eyes, Oleta Adams, Airbourne, and Spiderbait thrown in the mix.

There are a couple of Disney mainstays that got a spin...
If I never knew you (Jon Secanda & Shanice)
When you wish upon a star ( Eternal)

I have a few artists spinning multiple songs at the moment. Missy Higgins, KT Tunstall, Feist, Coldplay, Evanescence, Indigo Girls, The Veronicas - the list goes on and on

Not much Disney at the moment except for Illuminations.

This weeks favourites:

Switchfoot, Airbourne, Romeo & Juliet soundtrack, Teddy Geiger, Daughtry, Lowrider, Josh Groban.

And I heard a new one on the radio today but I don't know who sings it... the bubble song ( or something like that)

I have put in a Midnight Oil that I compiled myself of the better ones (I have all their albums) into the car. Also have just finished making photo DVD for the kids netball teams and used the new Silverchair song (straight lines) and the new Rob Thomas song (Little Wonders), both songs I am enjoying at the moment.

I loved this song from when I first heard it on the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack. I've been meaning to raise this as we discussed earlier this year about how we never hear Disney songs on the radio anymore. Yet here is a Disney song that is now getting plenty of airplay - but long after the movie has come and gone! It could have been a great way to promote the film.

As it is, most people don't even know that it was written for Meet the Robinsons. They should have released the song on radio 3-4 weeks before the film, not after it

Threw some Cold Chisel, Paul Kelly and Talking Heads into the CD player on a recent road trip, and it made the long drive most enjoyable! Started with Meatloaf, which was a bit whatever!

This week....

Linkin park, Avril Lavigne, Pat Monahan, Elliot Yamin, my chemical romance, Maroon 5, The Iccarus Account.

Along with my new copy of Enchanted, I also bought Amazing Best of Alex Lloyd. They'll both get played in the car.

Last night, I went to the Bon Jovi concert in Sydney...

AMAZING.

Probably the best indoor concert I've ever been to.

Finally got my hands on my copy of the Enchanted soundtrack today
