Here are some promotional images from Disney for a couple of events for next year.

The interesting one here is on the left, as it would suggest the opening of Carsland will be June 2012.

Of course, that just happens to coincide when Della and I will be visiting :D Although in all honesty, we were hoping to go before the grand opening to avoid mega crowds! Still, I won't knock back a chance to check it all out :)

If it is open by the time we get there, then yes - we'll be the first. If it is not open, then we'll be the first to almost see the newly completed Carsland :D

Some updates from the DCA expansion.

It is now looking like the DCA expansion will open on 15 June 2012 to the general public, with a big media event taking place the previous day on the 14 June 2012. It wouldn't surprise me if the whole of DCA is actually closed on the 14th for the media event.

Soft openings and annual pass previews will likely happen in the week or two leading up to the official opening.

It has also been reported that the new exclusive club restaurant that will open in the Cathay Circle Theater building is to be called "1901" - named obviously after Walt Disney's birth year.

And finally - guess what, we'll be at the resort on the opening week (and opening day!) - purely by coincidence, but we're not complaining :D

Woo Hoo.... -/ -/ -/

although, having been there on the day TSM opened, if you have a folding chair, take it... I'm just sayin'... the crowds are beyond belief and the wait times were running around 6+ hours for that ride.

Yeah - I know what you mean, I saw the crowds when I was at the Little Mermaid opening last year - crazy!

I'm hoping to get a sneaky-peek in the days leading up to the opening, as I doubt there'll be much chance after 15 June! Especially as it is also school holidays!
