Today at the Marvel panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, it was officially announced that the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in DCA would be re-themed to "Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!"

What isn't mentioned in the Parks Blog press release (but mentioned at the Comic-Con panel) is that this re-skinned attraction will eventually be a cornerstone of a new Marvel land in DCA.

The new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction is due to launch in Summer 2017 (June/July).

And there may b a James Bond land coming in the future...look at the news page.

I think the new theme of ToT will be great...  I didn't ever watch Twilight Zone, so while I get the premise, it never really resonated with me as a theme... love the ride though, so I'm keen to see what they can do with it in regards to Guardians.  Think it'll be good. 

James Bond however, I really could take or leave... Is it just me or are the parks getting super 'blokey' with all the Star Wars ( don't get me wrong, I love it, but it has an enormous 'bloke' following) and other space/superhero/cars themed stuff. 

Rides to get the boys in and merchandise (princesses) for the girls? Or is that just horribly sexist and cliched?
