Okay - that's the emotional bit out of the way.

Now - on to practicalities.

The wishing well is an old favourite - and late at night after the fireworks that path gets quiet - so you may have privacy (unless you want it to be public of course - in which case do it in the middle of the day!). Another quiet evening path is the shortcut that runs past the Pixie Hollow fountain between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland - that is quiet at night too and has the colour fountain in the background (you can use that if you can't shoe the people away from the well).

It took me thirteen years to come up with the perfect proposal idea for Della - I considered many different ways and in the end I wrote my own Mr Men book as a prop to my proposal (those who know the story know what I'm talking about) so think of something special that will mean a lot to the two of you - it'll be a moment you'll never forget!

Pop the question just as you get seated on a roller coaster!!! Tell a PhotoPass photographer your plans and have them take your pix at the right moment...Best wishes!

Or how about the Big Thunder Trail at night? Or maybe on the deck of the Mark Twain (for a daytime proposal).

Or the Blue Bayou - that's always a favourite place for proposals. In front of the castle is good but you'll definitely not be in a quiet spot - lots of people around to cheer you on though.

Or you could do the mouse-adventure style proposal where you have your special friend follow clues through the park to find hidden treasure (the ring) - that's great for a Disney fan.

I'm surprised Lisa, Beth, Sandie and Jess haven't chimed in yet - come on girls - help Evil-G out!!!

Right...where would I like to be proposed to? In front of the castle is certainly up there. I did see a proposal at Blue Bayou - very atmospheric! Little mermaid at the wedding scene. In front of the band or dapper dans on Main Street...

Mickey's Fun Wheel would be cool if you got a cage for yourself (otherwise it may be a bit awkward for the Japanese family sitting opposite you - LOL!)

And when is the big day anyway? What are your holiday dates Gerard - we want to know so we can follow your trip!

I like some of those, especially the Blue Bayou and Mark Twain suggestions.

How about on the carousel, make sure she's riding Julie Andrews horse. A nice quiet dinner at Napa Rose perhaps.

And now you can't afford to propose in Disneyland so want ideas for proposals in the Mascot area? LOL - - just kidding :D

Of course - you know that she will now have to accompany you to a Disney meeting sooner or later :)

The countdown clock has been there for a while now.
Unfortunately we are both going to miss the April meeting, its one of my godsons 16th Birthday.

I had another idea…. What about in the Sleeping Beauty Diorama inside the castle ?

That's not a bad spot - it is private, but might be a little dark.

I had another idea when out at lunch, you could make up a little jigsaw puzzle with your proposal on it and have her build it during a dinner or something like that. You could use one of those kids Disney princess puzzles that click tightly into place - you build it at home, write your message on the back and disassemble; she then puts it together at dinner and then you ask her to turn the puzzle over - message revealled...that would be cool (wish I thought of that last year!)

Of course, if she builds it wrong, it could get lost in translation - "will you marry me" could end up as "warmer i'll yum yo" which would result in an awkward silence while you are on one knee...
