I've been watching the 'buzz' about this for a while and while its not a main reason to visit the parks, I am really excited about getting to see this later on in the year. I love the movie (both animated and well... animated) and can't wait to see this IRL.

I'll definitely need merch.

Yep.

You know, this is the scariest trip from a merchandise standpoint that I've ever been on (except perhaps the world tour). With all the new areas opening up and new shows - there is just a tonne of terrific merchandise to be released while we are there. And I'm not talking fluffies either - I'm talking stuff that I want. I can see a trip to the local FEDEX office being required while I'm there...

And I like the look of this Mad T-Party. At first I was a little underwhelmed by the concept art, but as they've begun building the sets at DCA, I've become more excited.

Just 16 more sleeps :)

Hmm .....

I don't want to sound fuddy duddy, because I'm not (I think), but I'm not sure about this one. They've tried to make it a bit like a Rave party and obviously they're targeting the young and "hip". I think things like this try a little too hard. I hope it isn't and it works a treat, but ...

Hmm ....
2023 Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines - Disney Wish. Going to be awesome to be back!

I guess ajp, that is probably their pitch... at the young and hip, but I think all fans of the movies will appreciate it... I love that kind of music as opposed to the 80/90s stuff, so it really appeals to me personally.

And I really was underwhelmed by the Tron version as it (and the movies) really didn't do it for me, so I understand it being not as interesting to some.

I am seeing it as a bonus to an already exciting ( in new Disney stuff terms) trip and the idea has grown on me. :D

And Keith, you are so right... all that new stuff is going to be taxing on the suitcase. -/

Believe me when I say a lot of this Red Car stuff is coming home. Strangely enough, I've had a fascination with LA's Red Car Trolley network for many years, so I got super excited when I heard they were coming to DCA - and then even more excited when they started to bring out merchandise. I really can't wait to get to DCA!

I am looking forward to it. I really enjoyed elecTRONica. Dance music isnt something I normally like but it was just very cool. I really love alice in wonderland as the animated movie has always been my favourite Disney animation so I really hope to get along and se this at some stage.

Hiya Keith, I am looking at a trip to Tokyo Disney around May next year. It was about this time last year I was at the parks and im starting to get serious withdrawals haha. Tokyo is the only Disney park still to see. I am pretty much in saving mode now.

The Mad T Party kicked off in DCA yesterday and the reviews that are appearing on the Disney websites are extremely positive. Most people agreeing that it is better, more colourful and more fun than both Glowfest and Electronica.

The Magic Eye blog has some great photos of opening night here:

(7 sleeps before I go!)
