Fast pass time enforcement

Postby mushu mama » Sat Mar 10, 2012 4:13 pm

Hmmm... now I know its probably the right thing to do and enforce the times on the Fast pass...

but I have to say it was with a pang of disappointment that my 'plans' for the upcoming trip to DL have been thwarted and I will have to plan my time there so much more... which for me, will take a bit of the magic out of it ... eg: if I get a fp and then decide to go grab a bite to eat and happen upon a performance or whatever I want to watch, I will have to choose between the two rather than watch anyway, knowing I can still be admitted into the fb lanes when I return....

small gripe, but it will definitely change how I enjoy the parks. :?

I actually think it's a good thing. We've always made sure we are back during the one hour window, it never occurred to me not to be. I only found out recently that you actually COULD go back later - I guess I'm a bit slow :)

Nothing will ever beat the multiple fastpass tickets we had back in 2003 though. That was a BRILLIANT trip :)

Funnily enough - that's the same for us too. We always came back in the allotted time because we thought we had to! Only when this news story started to brew about three months ago did I realise you didn't need to go in the hour.

It is something we've known for quite some time now, but we never utilised it, we always got back in the window. It was good knowing that if you got waylaid then you had that flexibility. The windows allowed for some structure and planning, so it was often more convenient to use the window allocated.

ok.. call me bad, but I was running around with fists full of fast passes...

I would leisurely zig zag between the parks to go from ride to ride without too much down time. Worked a treat :(

I guess that could still be done, but not as leisurely.

Yup I also used to stack up my passes over the day and go crazy at night time using them all. To be honest I am not bothered about them being enforced as it will simply make the system work better. I have seen the odd occasion where the fast pass line has been longer or the same at the regular line and now this wont happen.

I Thought that this was so far only being enforced at WDW? I read some posts from DL CM's who said they would still let people thru
