New games at Toy Story Mania ride DCA

Looks like any day now, there is to be a new screen in the TSM ride in both US parks, replacing the Bo Peeps baaa-loon pop game screen.

Wow, I'm really surprised they're changing the game so soon after opening ( well, relatively). I'm glad I got a chance to see the original.

They're also introducing another character for the meets n' greets - Lotso, the big pink strawberry bear.

I think it is great that they can update these games periodically. I always thought they'd do that at some stage with Soarin' as well because it would just be a case of changing the film and re-syncing the chair movements. I always thought that would be a cheap way of refreshing a ride. I bet now though that if they ever did change that film, whatever replaces it will be in 3D (and how good would that be!!)

Soarin' would be great in 3D, but aren't there elements of 3D already incorperated in the ride? I seem to remember a golf ball flying at you and other stuff like that. It'd be great to see a new film for this ride, but I'd like to see it alternated with the original so you could still enjoy that one as well.

I am starting to worry about all the 3D everywhere you turn though, with all the speculation in the media that there could be long range health issues ( both mental and physical) with the regular use of 3D goggles/glasses I'm a little wary of overindulging in the whole 3D phenomenon. I'm pretty sure I don't want a 3D tv either... unless you could use it selectively...
