Spend a Night in the Haunted Mansion!

Here is one for Lisa!

There is a competition running in the US at the moment to spend a night sleeping in the Haunted Mansion! That's right, you get to sleep in the lift rooms of the Mansion - how much fun will that be?

The competition is being run as part of the 40th Anniversary of the mansion on the 8th August.

Of course - there is also some special events happening during the Expo - on the 09/09/09 to be specific - and why that date? Well there is 999 ghosts in the Mansion of course!

That is the LAAAAST place I'd want to spend the night.

Just the thought of that gives me the creeps.

Oh come on Lisa, it'd be fun! Although, I don't think you'd actually SLEEP in their. Lie awake listening to every single creak and groan, but I don't think you'd get much sleeping done

I reckon it would be legen-dairy to spend the night in the Haunted Mansion!

Then the top it of, it would be great to then wake up and ride Splash at dawn, have breakfast on the Mark Twain and go on all the Fantasyland dark rides before opening!

And how cool would it be if they woke you up with the lightening bolt and thunder noise! That would be heart-stopping!

Nope... seriously... that is the one ride that I wouldn't care if I never did again. But what if I camped out on the steps or something... I can bring a pillow... that way I can take part in the dawn raid on the other rides. Having never ridden Splash, that might be fun.
Breakfast on the Mark Twain sounds good too.

And I am not a woos when it comes to the rides ( exhibit A: the maniacle screaming/laughing on the video of me on Big Thunder on my trip blog)... this one is just a little too creepy for me.

Maybe I'll enter the competition anyway and if I win, I'll handball it to one of you guys.

I think the imagineers would be thrilled to know this attraction has this kind of reaction on guests. However Lisa once they turned on all the lights I think the experience would very quickly cease to be spine-tingling. I know the rolling stone in Indy has lost it's magic since they turned on the lights and I saw hession bags hanging off the walls.
