I wonder if I'll have time to check this out? I certainly like the sound of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!

These guys have the best caramel apples (like toffee apples but soooo much better) Try one if you get a chance... they are pricey but oh so yummy.... and the chocolate covered cherries are to die for.

5 stars on the sweet tooth meter......I loved this place.

I didn't try the ones in Disneyland (shameful I know  ) but I thought the ones at the RMCfactory looked marginally that little bit better anyway.
That could be your mission.. try them both :D

I missed this little piece of news. Back in December, the (struggling) GardenWalk defaulted on a $210 million loan and it is being forced into foreclosure. The date for the sale of the shopping centre is March 9 - it'll be interesting to see who buys it - will Disney make a bid to snap it up at a bargain price? Or is it too toxic to waste money on...

You would have to question why Disney would want another restaurant/shopping precinct in the resort, but if anyone can make it happen, then I reckon they could. It is a shame though that it struggled because they needed something else there, but the location of it is pretty ordinary really. We didn't go there but I walked past and through one early morning after dropping the car off at Hertz and I didn't realise how far off Harbor Blvd it is.

If Disney did buy it, then it would aid the supposed plans of the company to build the hotels there that is being talked about. Also they use the parking more than the shopping centre for overflow anyway, so it would just neaten that arrangement a little as well. And with the council talking about the Monorail/Light rail system going there perhaps they could make that happen as well.

It will be interesting to see what transpires anyway. Keep a weather eye out Keith, as will I, for more information as it comes out.

I'm going to be walking past this morning on my way somewhere else so I may have a look in. Apparently there is a foreign exchange place there as well, is this the best place to go to change my English Pounds?

I walked through at about 9.30 this morning and it was deserted and everything was closed. Maybe they were opening later but it had a feel of desertion about bit. If it is failing it's probably because it is just outside of the "hotel belt" and as such it doesn't get any walk by trade and it doesn't have a major anchor to draw anyone in for any other reason.

A pity really because it's a really nice looking place and it would be a shame to see it go to waste.

I agree Greg, and I thought the same thing about location. I walked through a little earlier than you did so definitely nothing open. With the amount of food places I thought that some of them would do breakfast, but no nothing. Only 1 coffee place too from (poor) memory. I reckon they're targeting the night life crowd which in a place like Anaheim, maybe wasn't the best move.

We've all had the same experience - a walk through in the morning and everything closed!

The auction for the site was meant to be in March but it has been postponed to later this month I believe - it'll be interesting to see who coughs up the money...

I walked past it last night on my way back from the baseball and the restaurants seemed to be doing a bit more business but not really enough. I was tempted to try out the Bubba Gump.

The auction sign is still up.
