Disney Pop 's

Anyone else collecting Disney Pops?

I've been collecting Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts one for a while but caved and bought my first Disney pop last week.  I've been avoiding it because I know its a deep well of 'I want them all'.

But when I saw Magica De Spell hit the shelves I knew resistance was futile.... I was tossing up between her and the limited Scrooge diving into the money but could only pick one... but the limited Scrooge and all the nephews and webby will be next on my list if they're not all sold before I have the cash to splash.

Anyone else?

Only trouble is I have no idea what a pop is. :-(

I have a couple in my collection. I've been very good because I have a similar problem where I just want all of them, but due to lack of storage space I've been very restrained.

Greg, pops are 10cm vinyl figurines. You can get them for pretty much every tv show/movie/video game these days. https://funko.com/collections/pop-vinyl/

they are completely useless figurines that I desperately tried not to begin collecting... but now I must have all the exclusives.  They have only recently released the Duckburg folk but they're already hard to find... I went for a 'look' in eb games ( they also have them at Game traders and other collectable's type places in Aus, but you could also access them on Popcultcha.com - I think thats how its spelled) yesterday and they only had one nephew left... its really a game of chase them in all the shops and see what is left.    I started with Fantastic Beasts pops and then gradually widened that to Harry Potter pops but now I'm starting with Disney and would also love to collect LOTR and GOT ones too.... just too many that I need.

are you collecting a particular theme Lauren, or are they just ones you loved and couldn't leave there?  The 'where to  put them' is a serious issue for me, as all my 'stuff' lives in storage in QLD and I currently live in a cheap shoebox in a sharehouse with literally one shelf to put them on in SA.... they are at about 3 rows now and counting.  Moving back to QLD is going to be much more expensive than moving to SA when the time comes thanks to my collecting habits.

I only have 7 and just Disney and Pixar.  Some i have received as gifts, but the ones i've purchased are ones that i just love and 'needed' to have.
My wishlist at the moment is the Chip & Dale San Diego Comic Con double pack and the new Olaf with kittens .
I also cannot wait to move back to QLD where i will hopefully have more room (and my own house not a rental) so i can properly store my many collections.

I've been trying to resist - there are just so many of them and I love them all - Disney, Video Games, TV Shows...I just can't collect them all so I'm collecting none of them at the moment.  I got Anna and Elsa and Olaf when Pop first appeared a few years ago, but since then I've pretty much avoided any more.

Has there ever been an attempt at a Club meeting to determine who exactly has the largest collection of Disney stuff among the members, and by extension probably the country?

No - a lot of us have big collections of stuff.  Imagine what it would be like if we were able to bring it all together - it would be awesome.

That would have to be a news-worthy/viral opportunity photo op if you could manage it.

hahaha.... I suspect we'd need to hire out a truly massive space to fit everyones collections in. Like where they hold trade fairs ;)
