I kind of feel (without having set foot in one) that having less stuff on the shelves would take something away from the experience. If I just wanted to shop through a terminal I'd rather do it from the comfort of my own home. Part of the magic of the shop was the themeing and discovering things I didn't even know I wanted.

I'm going to Hong Kong in January but the only one I know of there is in the airport. Is it likely to get the change as well or is it run by someone else?

If I remember right - the Hong Kong airport store is run by the resort, not by The Disney Store.  The Hong Kong Disney Stores all closed in the great cull in the early 2000s along with the Australian stores... :(

Oh, so I won't be able to be much help then. There must be a couple of new attractions in the Park since I was last there though.

I haven't been on here for way too long and just saw this post, was temporarily excited we may be getting stores again!!!

While I haven't looked at the site yet, I do like that the new stores will have more adult stock and the live streaming of parades and fireworks - how awesome is that!  Will they mind if I show up with a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers to really make it an experience?

FYI: Keith - thanks for sharing about your and Della's Disney Days, so sweet.

One of the things that really disappointed me about the Australian Disney Store (and Disney stores in general) was the lack of "adult" things, particularly collectible stuff.
