Well the new update landed this morning on my iPad.  I think the actual Aladdin event begins tonight.  It is another timed event which is a bit nasty as I'm still recovering from the Lion King.  There are seven new characters to get.  Have fun :)

I downloaded the update this morning for the event.  It took an age to download and then load.  I hope it's not going to take this long to start up every time.

Time to stop updating my Lion King characters and to start slaving away at Aladdin.  I love that the events start on Thursday nights.  I don't work Fridays so it's perfect timing for me!

Yep, I got the update when i woke up this morning. It also seems to have solved my Timon and Pumba issue.

I didn't mind the timed Lion King event because I actually managed to get it done in the allotted time, unlike some of the past ones. I just wonder if it's not too soon after the last one.

Glad you problem was solved.

Yes - I liked The Lion King for that reason too - it was achievable.  I'm concerned this Aladdin one won't be as easy as I've had nothing drop yet and have been trying all morning! Arghhh.

Yes - I'm progressing okay again now.  I welcomed Abu this morning and now I'll have to start working on welcoming Jasmine.

Having fun so far!

Doing well so far :)  I've just got Jasmine so I think I'll be able to relax a bit and see out the rest of the event now :)

I'm still working on Jasmine but at least her items are short ones, not 24 hours. It seems to be really close to the end that Jaffar finally turns up.

Yes, I've got her too and her item drops were fairly good.

How are you going with Baghera Mel?  I've had no drops in over a week LOL.

I'm at about half of the requirements for Bagheera :(  It's taking forever.  Luckily, Aladdin is getting me through the waiting.  I've got Genie now and have been trying to upgrade in preparation for Jafar.  I hope they don't make him too hard to get.

As a side note, this event made me dust off my copy of Aladdin and Josh and I watched it on Monday while he was sick.  I can't believe he hadn't seen it before.  Third child neglect right there.  He thought it was hilarious :)

I've begun fighting with Jafar now.  I'm guessing there will be two rounds of this like in other recent events.

Wow, you're doing much better than me. I have the characters but I'm trying to accumulate enough funds to build Genie's Lamp Show, which I assume I need before Jafar appears.

It's starting to get annoying how long it takes for the game to open. I'm playing it on a tablet and i almost have enough time to go and make a cup of tea.

I've been going very well on this event for some reason.  I finished battling Jafar yesterday now I'm just waiting for the new costumes to unlock - in the meantime, I've been leveling characters up again.

And I agree - it takes ages for the app to open now.  I hit the start button and go and make a coffee then come back to play.

I've just finished my first Jafar battle, waiting on costumes with no idea what is required to get them beyond "complete more Aladdin quests".

Depending on how big this game ultimately gets it is going to take some time to set new tasks for all the characters.
