Dymocks Disney Storytelling Centre

Postby KeithS » Sun Jan 27, 2008 9:49 am

When Della and I visited the Sydney Dymocks store on Australia Day, we discovered this:

(Sorry about quality - my rubbish mobile phone camera! I took lots of photos, but this is the only non-blurred one!)

"Disney's Magical World of Storytelling"

It is a new display set up with a huge number of kids Disney books, many of which I'd never seen here before. The quality of the stand was great, with lots of Disney characters, and they were showing Disney movies on a big screen. The must also do storytelling sessions, based on the little seats in the room - although we couldn't find any details about them.

Of course, this is aimed at the little kids (...again...) but it is one of the first dedicated Disney retails corners I've seen in Australia since the closing of the stores.

If you are in Sydney, check it out (it is downstairs in the main Dymocks on George St.)

EDIT: Ahhh - it is amazing what a little bit of research on Google can achieve - here are more details:

I dunno - I guess they are looking at the reaction this one gets. I haven't found any references to say they are expanding - you'll have to be our Brissie spy Marc - let us know if one pops up locally!
