Ratatouille

Postby KeithS » Thu May 04, 2006 10:42 pm

I know, I know, Cars isn't out yet and here I am already talking about Pixar's next film.

Brad Bird (who wrote and directed The Incredibles) is directing Pixar's next film titled Ratatouille. It is about a rat who lives in a Parisian restaurant run by an eccentric chef (who is voiced by Brad Garrett).

This movie has been kept under wraps (I don't even recall seeing any images from it yet - maybe Wayne has?) but it now looks as though a trailer will feature in front of Cars or Pirates (although Cars is the obvious choice).

The OFLC (yes, I keep refering to their website - it provides great information on upcoming releases!) has today granted advertising approval for Ratatouille, meaning that a trailer will be available for screening in Australia shortly.

I always look forward to the early teaser trailers from Pixar - they usually don't even show any scene from the actual film, but give a good feel for what is to come. I never forget the Monsters Inc trailer that featured Mike and Sulley playing charades, with Sulley trying to get Mike to guess "Harry Potter" - funny stuff!

Me too...!

It is a strange premise though - and the story details have been tightly held. But it is Pixar, and my faith remains high in a quality product.

Have you watched the trailer for "Meet the Robinsons" yet? It is the Disney produced CG follow up to Chicken Little and looks pretty funny. There is a great shot of the "future" that bear's a striking resemblance to Tomorrowland in Disneyland!

Yep, just watched it. Looks like fun. Hope its not too 'Jimmy Neutron' though. And I think its a blessing that I don't drink coffee - those coffee patches would have me in orbit. Oh wait .... does Coke have caffeine......

I like the coffee scene - I have a very bad reputation for drinking a lot of coffee (I'm not addicted of course...) and when I showed that trailer at the club meeting on Saturday, I had a couple of comments along the lines of "you need to get your hands on those patches" or "they are perfect for you"...

Coffee doesn't affect me in anyway - look, here is a picture of me-->

I was having 'coffee' (figuratively speaking - I don't drink coffee) with a friend who resembles you 'photo' above this morning and as I walked in I heard the waitress say to her " Are you having ANOTHER coffee?" to which she answered "Hell yeah, I'm not nice before my 10th cup of coffee for the day. Tried to give it up once but it was like coming down from cocaine so put it right down there - I'm only on number 6 - this could get ugly". :D

Are you that addicted?

Whoa, now that is an addiction. To give you an idea of my addiction, here is my typical day of fluid intake:
6:30am Wake up coffee.
8:15am Arrive at work coffee
10:00am Morning-tea coffee.
12:30pm Lunch can of coke
1:15pm Lunch coffee
3:00pm Afternoon-tea coffee
6:30pm Arrive home coffee
8:30pm After dinner coffee
10:30pm Bedtime coffee

Then I start all over again the next morning - no water, no orange juices, no beer or wine, no milk. Just coffee and coke...

...but I stagger it nicely throughout the day - I don't binge in the morning etc.

Now that is a typical day, but Friday's include after work drinks - which for me is JD and coke (not Kahlua!)

Now, if I miss one or two coffees (get stuck in meetings, or sometimes when I am on holidays and miss meals etc) I get really bad coffee headaches - but once I suck down some smooth cappuccino...it all goes away :)

Sleeping?? Sleeping is for sleepy people...hmmm...that reminds me - I've missed my 10:30pm dose...

Kidneys are fine, they only hurt when I sit down, move, twist, or bend - that is normal isn't it? (only joking - don't call an ambulance...!!!)
