I'm going to have to wait until I see it on the cruise as we fly out on the 20th. So no spoilers! I skimmed that article because I was worried about spoilers.

I have heard that you need to take blankets to the cruise cinema because it is freezing in there!

Just wondering, when does this movie turn up at the cinema?

I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

It officially opens on September 18, but Greater Union are doing charity screenings this Sunday at 11am - you can buy your tickets in advance online for $9-00. I have mine and I can't wait until Sunday!!! I'm guessing this promotion is happening up in QLD - check out the Greater Union website Lisa.

Yeah I'm disappointed at not being able to go along on Sunday morning. We have multi child commitments for school and sport, so no chance catching the previews,
2023 Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines - Disney Wish. Going to be awesome to be back!

I've seen it, I've seen it!!!

Woohoo! :D

I rate it higher than your 7.2 Greg. I'd give it a 9.1 out of 10 - I thought it was that good.
Any movie that runs for over 100 minutes and generally kept an audience (of whom about 65% were kids) quiet must be doing something right - everyone in the cinema was engrossed by the story.

Can't wait for everyone else here to see it so we can discuss further.

Oh yeah - and the Pixar Short "Presto" was hilarious!

We're hoping it will be in Gold Class and we'll catch it then. Ben is in love with Wall E and waves whenever an ad is on  No chance in hell he'll be coming with us to see it though!

I thought long and hard about the 7.2 I gave it. I find that I rarely give anything over a 9 until I have had a chance to see a movie a few times, if it stands up to repeated viewing then it will gain a few extra points.

My personal rating system is:
Bad...a movie that I could barely sit through, stopped watching (rare) or want to set fire to.
Okay...a movie that I could watch to the end and that was what it set out to be. If it was meant to be a light piece of fluff or just mindless entertainment then that's fine if that is what it ended up being.
Good...a movie that I come out of happy to have paid the money and with a feeling of not having wasted my time. Quite likely to watch again if the opportunity arises.
Great...a movie that makes me think for a long time after I see it, I'm keen to see again and fully intend buying on dvd.
Classic...a great movie that has stood the test of time and multiple viewings.

No movie can become an instant classic, it must stand the test of time first. A great movie can slip down to good if it doesn't hold up to repeated viewings. A good movie can become great if more viewings reveal greater depth than seen the first time.

I like the idea of a fluid system because a movie that i thought was great when in a certain frame of mind may not hold up later.

Hmmm, this has given me an idea for a new thread.
