Am I the last one on here to have seen Wall E? I went to see it last night and let me just say....

WOW!

Loved it with a capital L!

I especially loved the La Vie en Rose (not sure how to spell that by the way) music through much of the start of it.
I loved how he did the dance for Ev-ah (yes, I know thats not right but I liked his nickname for her).

I loved the garden gnomes and his revolving cupboards. And I've never warmed quite so much to a cockroach in my life.

And yep.... its official people... I'm the biggest cry baby of the bunch cos I was crying at the end when they finally held hands. such a simple gesture held such emotion. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.

And the end credits were really clever too, starting with the egyptian lettering finishing with computerised characters... Loved it when they were drawn Monet Style ... cute as a button.

He really didn't need to speak... Pixar are amazingly witty... only this time too many words would have been superfluous... and it was perfect.

Definitely getting this one on DVD.

I haven't seen it yet either. :( We are planning on going Gold Class and it's just impossible to organise a good time with babysitters and everything just now....especially with footy finals on

OH.... :(

I'm sorry for not putting a spoiler alert on my post. I honestly thought I was probably the last to have seen it. I'm really sorry Anthony and Mel. I have been so out of the loop lately and reading every post is just not possible at the moment.

I hope to be back online soon and then I can keep up with what everyone is up to more closely.

Sorry guys.

Don't worry about it Lisa, once I saw spoilers, I skimmed over it, so it will all still be a surprise for me :)

Are we allowed to talk about this one yet? ( says Lisa conveniently forgetting having thrown a spoiler or two out there for which she is heartily sorry by the way )

I suppose its safe to say that the soundtrack is brilliant though....right?
The songs really yank those heartstrings.

No - I should be right to schedule some time to scratch myself by the end of November, so I'll see how I go after that!

You know what? I didn't love Wall-E. It was ok but I do not really feel the need to see it again in a hurry.

Well we have failed to see it AGAIN over the past two weekends :( Last weekend we were all set to see it at Gold Class, but they stopped showing it there on the Thursday :( This past Sunday we decided we'd see it in a regular cinema and Ben decided that midnight-4am on Sunday morning was the perfect time to run around the house so we were too pooped to go.

Like Anthony....maybe the end of November :(

Disney have begun an official campaign to get Wall-E nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture! Yep - not just Best Animated Picture (which they are after too) - but Best Picture. Only Beauty and the Beast has ever had that honour among animated movies.

Here is a link to see their first print advertisement.
