I'm really looking forward to seeing this too... that is the only thing ( other than recovery) that I have planned for New Years Day.

Good morning all.

If you want to see Tangled a little earlier than its 6 January start date, Event Cinemas (Greater Union) are hosting advanced screenings at 6pm on Sunday at most venues for Cinebuzz members.

No worries Anthony! We went and saw it too and LOVED it!

Everyone should go and check it out, it is a beautiful movie.

Hey Anthony, did they hand out the Tangled height charts and posters at your cinema too? We thought that was a nice touch for those who went to the previews.

 No we didn't get any merchandise. Although I was impressed with the $12 price. At dinner afterwards, we discussed it being possibly the best Princess movie ever, thats how much we liked it.

That's a shame, they had some Tangled colouring in competition going on at Burwood as well. The height charts have Rapunzel and Pascal on one side, and Maximus and Flynn on the other - very nice. The posters were smaller versions of the movie poster (about half size) and very nice - the reverse of the posters has Tangled merchandise available.
Although I was impressed with the $12 price.
Me too!

We had this same conversation and didn't come to any conclusion. I guess the test will be if this movie still seems good in 20 years time like Beauty and the Beast does.

There is no doubting however that this is a great Disney Princess movie - so good in fact that I'm considering going to see it again. I've never had a repeat viewing at the cinema of a Disney movie in its original run since The Lion King in 1994.

Saw 'Tangled' last night, as I see a number of fans would have at the Event Cinemas preview screening. Also good to see so many people liked it. This is classic Disney if ever there was a Disney classic.

If you're interested, I've posted a review over on my newish site: http://www.thereelbits.com/2011/01/03/tangled/

It's where I've been spending most of my time lately, which would probably account for the lack of HKDL Source updates!

Has anyone else seen this yet? Lisa? Beth?

It pulled in $6.1 million at the Australian Box Office on its opening weekend - a record for a new-property animated film in this country (i.e. a movie that isn't a sequel).

Nup... not yet... really bugging me that I can't find the time to get to the cinema at the moment... still haven't even seen Harry Potter either. Am planning on seeing Tangled next Tuesday on my day off. This is my rare weekend off,.... and I'm working all weekend.... But believe me, when I DO actually get to see it, I will certainly be wanting to discuss. :D

Beth is camping at the moment so not sure if she has internet access there or not.

I saw it last week at the Great Lakes Cinema Tuncurry - guess what? I cried! Twice!

Am sitting in Forster McDonalds - had to to do some work and catch up with emails.
