I just read that the songs "Closer", "happy working song" and "Thats how you know" got nominated for best song Oscars....

Not bad... 3 out of the available 5 spots. ( I think thats what they said) which I guess is pretty good odds really.

And Ratatouille got nominated for best score as well. It seems that Enchanted got left out of the running for best score because it was deemed they used too many songs rather than just music to qualify.

I heard that too, and they're all good. I like Closer out of the 3, but it is Ever Ever After that get's me whistling lately, I do like that song.

Yep. Closer would be my favourite too.

I also just read that Ratatouille actually got 5 nominations all up.... (best animated feature, original screenplay, musical score, sound editing and sound mixing.) They should be pretty pleased with their efforts I imagine.

Keith you may be interested to know that "Giselle" was one of the characters Disney share-holders got to meet at last weeks Annual Meeting in Albuquerque!

I've got pretty high hopes of meeting up with Giselle in Japan in a few weeks time. Enchanted was only released there on the 14th March, so I'm guessing they'll have an in-park character as part of the ongoing movie promotion

I hope so anyway...otherwise...

We all know that Enchanted was peppered with Disney Classics nods but I just read this article where someone with too much time on their hands has gone through and put some pictures from the Classics next to the stills that were recreated in Enchanted.
Its amazing how well they were reproduced with real people.
