If you've watched episode one then you'll be able to give us your opinion on Jar Jar Binks. :-)

Oh he was cute, I liked him.

What's wrong with him?  I notice he barely had a part in the next movie and was background in the third.  Tonight Episode 4.

I am certainly enjoying the movies and look forward to what happens next but there's a bit much violence for what I usually watch and I'm not sure why they waste so much time on some of the battle scenes when the majority of the audience (even a non Star Wars person like me) already knows that both combatants will live.

Apologies to life-long Star Wars fans!!!!!

He seems to be universally hated, partly because he's considered a racist stereotype by some people and just completely annoying by others. Of course there is also the theory that he is actually Darth Binks and is behind everything.

The violence probably gets toned down a bit in the next 3. When you're watching them try to keep in mind that originally audiences were watching these ones first so things that you know now were major shocks for them then.

I'm kind of counting the sleeps until the new one hits cinemas.... I'm just hoping I'm not rostered on that day

I won't be able to see it until the day after it opens (taking a Thai class that day) but I'll be in line for the first screening next Friday.

They showed the trailer for it before Coco but i shut my eyes. I've managed to avoid all spoilers so far.

Me too - I've watched the teaser which showed nothing in context.  I've seen the TV ads (can't avoid them) - but on the whole, I'm unspoiled.  Can't wait for Friday :)

I finally got to see  8 :)  I liked it.  There were some slow bits and it was a little long for the boys, but they enjoyed it for the most part too.

Do we have to wait another two years now?

Solo should be out this year, if you count the standalone movies.

I still haven't seen 8!

Hopefully this Friday will be the day - the real world just keeps getting in the way :(

Looking forward to Solo. They lucked out by getting Woody Harrelson. Is that going to be a one-off story like Rogue One or will it have sequels?

I think the odds of Solo sequels will depend very much on the response to this one and how much money it makes. To be honest the pre-release reports don't look that promising.
