Pete's Dragon

Postby mushu mama » Thu Oct 20, 2016 10:22 am

I saw this on the Fantasy too... my verdict is, more enjoyable than the original animation, would watch it again if it were on TV but still not something I'd race out and buy.

I've kind of gotten the impressions from reviews and so on that it's more of a slow burn type of Disney movie than a blockbuster. Does it have much in it that would seriously date it or can it have some "home video" longevity?

I missed this too - does it have any links to the original other than a boy and a dragon?  It seemed totally disconnected unlike the other recent live-action remakes.

yep... Boy-Dragon-forest... thats about the only semblance of the original.

And its def a slow burn... its interesting, and has its 'go the little guy' moments, and I'd watch it again if it were free... but I'm not likely to add it to my collection.
