I have signed up to watch a preview of Ant Man at the Disney Studio Theater in Burbank this Saturday Morning. Does anyone want me to talk about it once I have seen it? Or would you folks rather just watch it yourselves once its out in Aus.

LOL - the movie has already opened here :)

Although I won't get to see it probably until I get on the Disney Wonder - too busy preparing for wedding etc.

You are welcome to discuss it in a non-spoilery way! Especially interested in hearing about seeing it in that particular cinema!

I got invited to a screening of Antman friday evening my time and they had a cocktail party afterward which was nice. So I got to see it friday and may also go see it again today (saturday). I liked the movie and I didnt expect that since.. antman, seriously? But it has a lot of funny parts in it and some good effects and strong acting. Its set in the marvel universe of course so mentions of shield and some of the characters and things that have happened in the movies.

As mentioned, here are some photo's of the Cinema.

That's awesome - thank you for sharing the great photos of the cinema on the Disney lot. It would be awesome to catch a screening there - I know they've had D23 events there but never when I've been in LA.

Antman kind of snuck up on us - I hadn't really heard about the film until two or three months ago and next thing I know, it is here! I'm first to admit I was never a Marvel fan growing up, but the way they've produced these phases of movies (introducing single characters and then creating the ensemble films) has been genius. I'm totally hooked on the whole Marvel Universe now just from the movies (I've never picked up a comic). Throw Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter into the mix and you are really on a winner. I particularly loved the Agent Carter TV series and can't wait for the second season (I'll save my rant for how Australian audiences never got to see either Agent Carter or the last season of Once Upon a Time for another day - neither show were picked up by commercial or pay-tv stations here...)

And back to Antman, it looks like he'll be joining the Disney Infinity 3.0 cast as well - yay!!!

yeah, I've been saying 'what is this Antman' and wondering how I hadn't heard about it as well....
I'll prob see it, but have zero idea what its about (other than another hero character)... and Keith, when you start that discussion about the dearth of OUAT her in AU, I'll heartily join in... I hate that I see snippet on FB and never know what is going on anymore.

I hadnt seen agents of shield until about a month ago. They have the whole season on netflix but just never got around to it. The family went back to Aus for a month long holiday so I thought, perfect time and did some binge watching. I interspersed the movies so I could watch it in order of appearance. I found I really liked it so now am hanging out for them to start the new season.

I wasnt expecting to like antman but the main character is so likeable.

Agents of Shield is a great show... we love it too... Our netflix gets connected soon so I am keen to watch it in order as well, as it is on very late at night here so I often miss out on episodes.

if your into SF a great show on netflix is Sense8. Its by the wachowsky brothers and the guy who wrote babylon 5. Its netflix produced so only place you will find it.

A bit of sex/nudity though so be aware of that if you watch it.

Sounds like my sort of show.

The big problem with TV at the moment is that there is too much of it! (Who'd ever thought I'd say that??).

There are so many good shows, I just don't get the time to sit and watch them all, so it is hard to commit to a new series.

I'll take a look at it too... We're a SF household :)
