Big Hero 6

Postby KeithS » Tue Dec 30, 2014 6:40 pm

Wow. Just realised that we didn't have a thread for this movie!

So who has seen it? Della and I went today and I loved it! From the very beginning I was hooked. Let us know when you've seen it so we can discuss.

Hi Keith,

Jennifer and I saw it a few days ago and loved it. We were the only ones in the theatre to stay to the end of the credits and see the extra bit of the movie. The Animation was stunning and the story was excellent.

Yep - I agree Wayne! And Della and I were the only ones to stay to the end too! You always have to stay to the end for any movie linked to Marvel as all their films have those extra moments after the credits!

Brizmarc - go see it, you'll like it :D

We're planning on going tomorrow. Ben and Jared don't seem too fussed on it from the ads, but they all got a Baymax toy for Christmas and Josh loves them, although he calls him Beemax :) Wreck It Ralph was a big hit with my boys so I'm hoping that this one will be too. I'm still not able to watch Frozen without constant complaining and whinging so it'll be nice to have another Disney movie they can sit through!

Hi Mel - I'm sure your boys will love it. Even Della described it as "a boys film"! :D

OMG... I LOVE this movie...
it was the first movie I watched on the way to Germany and the last movie I watched on the way home from Singapore.

So two viewings under my belt and I LOVE IT!!!!

It's a keeper for sure, we'll be buying it and wish we'd bought some of the sizable merch range displayed in the Paris Disney Store... nothing in the way of merch at the Park interestingly. Nor was there any of the new merch for Cinderella at the park either - only the Disney Store in Paris.

Millie kept leaning over and telling me what the Kanji means through the movie and there is a LOT of hidden meaning in them. For instance, the big guy (Yama) at the start who is botfighting with Hiro has a Kanji on his shirt which means Mountain and Yama is the way you say mountain in 'english'.

Can't wait to see this again to find more stuff hidden... there's also a stitch cameo in there too I noticed but won't say where till everyone has seen it.
