Cinderella (2015)

Postby KeithS » Sat Nov 29, 2014 6:48 am

And here is another movie that we haven't spoken much of but is coming to cinemas very soon - the live action remake of Disney's Cinderella directed by Kenneth Branagh:

I was a bit skeptical about another live action adaptation, but this looks really good. The casting is perfect and the I want that Cinderella dress.

Della and I both noticed how saturated the colours are in this trailer - it almost looks cartoonish which I'm sure is deliberate. No doubt we'll go and see this one.

So has anyone gone and seen Cinderella yet? What did you think?

We saw it on Saturday and really enjoyed it!

We saw it last night and I really enjoyed it. Cinderella was my favourite animated feature for such a long time and I was really pleased to see how they adapted it :)

I thought the casting was fantastic although I kept seeing Robb Stark :) I ADORED the costuming. I wish I could have my wedding again so I could wear her wedding dress - simple and beautiful!

Della loved that too.

Yep - the movie was brilliant in its simplicity. I liked that they hadn't made it satirical or deliberately tongue in cheek or tried to twist the story around by making Lady Tremaine sympathetic (like they did with Maleficent) - this was a classic retelling of the Disney Cinderella version.

We saw it yesterday and also enjoyed it very much. Ros commented on how many of the wedding dresses Disney will sell as well. Staying for credits as usual is worthwhile.
2023 Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines - Disney Wish. Going to be awesome to be back!
