Yes - you read that right. Plans are being set in motion to create a movie and possible movie franchise based on It's a Small World. If it was 1 April, I would have thought this a April Fools joke but it really seems to be true.

Of course, rumours like this for other rides have come and gone in recent years, we've had rumours for Big Thunder Mountain, The Jungle Cruise, a Haunted House reboot, a "Magic Kingdom" movie which seems to have disappeared. Only Tomorrowland is real and is in post production now for a Christmas release.

That is exactly what I said when I first read the article! I would rather they do a Jungle Cruise adventure movie or something like that. I can just see an It's a Small World movie being very difficult to market - remember the John Carter debacle!
