More Star Wars new today with the announcement that a Hans Solo prequel is to debut in 2018!
I'm probably most excited by this project (although I'm dying to see episode 7!). Think of the possibilities of a Hans Solo prequel - we could see why Jabba the Hutt is so keen on capturing him, we could find out how he teamed up with Chewbacca and his earlier relationship with Lando, and how he came into possession of the Millennium Falcon. So much goodness! Bring it on

Posssiiibbllyy, it may seem to explain why Leia is looking so sad, her brother going off the deep end and all. He was moving quite well considering his age though. Han's looking a bit rough round the edges.

It's release date in the States is the 18th but I've found a Thai site saying the 17th in Thailand. What's the official date for Australia?

Release date is 17th December here.

I'm thinking it has to be Luke because he says to a mangled Darth Vader mask "I'll continue the fight" or something similar...
I'm also thinking the young girl in the trailer is also a relative given that she tinkers with machines and has a droid.

I'll give you the young girl as a relative, potentially a daughter (or granddaughter) of Han and Leia but if she is then it's a family that has amazing bad luck misplacing their kids. If she was hidden to protect her from Luke then you'd think he would have known to go looking for her, especially given his personal experience and the fact she seems to be on Tatooine.
Personally I'd hate for Luke to be the bad guy, it would possibly be a story of redemption too similar to the arc of the first 6 movies.
Of course there is always this take on it...

I was also thinking that Luke may have gone over to the dark side given his lack of presence in the trailers. And who else would have access to the burned out remains of Darth Vader's mask? It was Luke who burned him on the funeral pyre at the end of Return of the Jedi.
Whatever is happening - I can't wait for this movie!! LOL
