I agree Anthony the new Star Wars movie is amazing. I saw it at he 6am session in Melbourne. It is one of the few movies I wanted to see again as soon as I left the cinema.
I plan to see at at least twice more including Imax.
If you have not seen it as yet avoid social media until you do so.
Disney through Lucasfilm have done an amazing job.
It is currently breaking box office records every few hours.
Yes it lives up to all the hype. You will indeed enjoy this movie and the two new stars are amazing.

I had similar thoughts about wanting to see it again. We saw the traditional flat version (2d) originally, so I'd like to see what 3D does for it, on top of just wanting to see it over and over.

Della and I saw Ep 7 today at last and we loved it too. I am glad I avoided all spoilers!

Can't wait to see it again. We also saw it on old-school 2D so wouldn't mind seeing the IMAX 3D edition.

The time flew by watching the film, I never once felt bored and thought the pacing was great. And there were so many hooks left in for the next episode.

Bring it on!

I saw a screener in 2d and then took the family to a 3d screener the studio had for staff the next day.  Its awesome in 3d and I would recommend it.  I would like to see it in imax 3d so may do that as well while its in theatres.

I really liked the movie and some of the retro sets were good.

I do think the story line itself was a bit formulaic but it was still entertaining.

(Now lets wait a day so everyone can read this message and then we can post away about the film)

Finally saw it last night and since i can't post a spoiler for another 22 hours I'm just going to say...

I liked it.

I managed to avoid all spoilers and I'm happy I did because, although there were a couple of things I figured out as it was going there were also a couple I did not see coming.

Compliments to whoever did the trailers, to build up excitement and anticipation without giving away anything about the story. They should get a raise. Too many movies just seem like slightly extended versions of the trailers.

Happy with it and keen to see the next one...which is when?

We all loved it.  It was Craig's first Star Wars movie ever and now he's keen - or at least willing - to see the original three :)

The boys all sat still and watched most of it no worries.  A couple of the more quiet/emotional scenes had Josh fidgeting a bit, but then again he's only four.  I now have a Storm Trooper/Finn and Kylo Ren having light saber battles on a daily basis in my home :)

Just as enjoyable, maybe a little more so second time around. 3D was awesome, not necessarily better, but it was awesome.

Thar be spoilers ahead.......

Just saw it for the second time and enjoyed it almost as much. Not to the same level as the first time because I knew what was coming but not disappointed, which is sometimes a danger on a second viewing.

So...is Rey Lukes daughter? Strong in the force, left on a desert planet for her own protection, which seems to be a family trait, and she even dresses like Luke.

I hope Han stays dead. That's not meant to sound as harsh as it does, I just mean that I hope there isn't some miracle resurrection.

I'm half way through the book and I'm hoping it will answer a few more questions I have but I fear I'm going to have to wait for the next movie.

Yep - there's nothing worse than a miracle resurrection - although a miracle resurrection played by a different actor would be worse I guess!  I'm certain he is dead - I think Harrison Ford would want it that way, and it was a good death scene! It looked like his son was redeeming himself, then bam - sliced and diced with that light sabre!

Yeah, I was genuinely surprised when it happened and I like when that happens in a movie.

I was stunned when it happened.  Craig said he saw it coming from a mile away.  Maybe I just didn't see it because, well, he's Han - main characters aren't meant to die like that.  Craig wouldn't have had the same attachment since he thought Harrison Ford was Luke Skywalker until last year :lol:

That particular surprise was not to me... a 'friend' had posted a meme with Han Solo and 1977-2015 as the only caption... I was not happy  so when it happened in the movie, I was surprised by how shocked I was, considering I actually kind of knew it was coming.

I have read rumours of possible casting of other actors to play Han in future movies, but I haven't dug around to see if they have any traction or not.
However... I did read this fan theory, and felt it has some semblance of what might be to come, and it def would answer the questions I left the cinema with.

I'm kind of hoping that Vader is done and dusted, 6 movies is more than enough to conclude his story. It's cool that Kylo Ren has his helmet and ashes and worships his Grandfather but lets move on.
