Saw another trailer for P of P on FB this morning. It reallllly looks like a great movie. This would be the next 'big' movie to hit the screens right?
Looking forward to this one as well. The special effects look amazing.

So, has anyone else seen this yet?
We went last week and I went in with very low expectations, but ended up sitting there and enjoying the film. It is a no-brainer, but it isn't boring - the action sequences flow nicely into each other.
Oh yeah, and it has Gemma Arterton.
It is no replacement for Pirates though, and I doubt this will be a new franchise that Disney will pursue - the box office takings have been poor.

We are hoping to go over the weekend, all things going to plan. Some of my friends have seen it already and been slightly underwhelmed as well. They liked it but like you Keith, didn't rave about it.

finally got to see this movie tonight... on the last day it was showing at our local cinema....
I LOVED it!!!!
seriously, I thought it was a visual feast, and thought the 'game-like' movements of many of the fight scenes were really well done. It was easy to imagine holding the game controller and pressing the 'jump' button... I loved the ending and didn't see it coming quite like it did... definitely one for my DVD collection one day.
