The Academy Awards nominations came out this morning and it was quite exciting for us Disney/Pixar fans.
Up has been nominated for Best Picture and Best Animated Picture. It is the first animated movie since Beauty and the Beast to get a nomination for the Best Picture Oscar.
Up was also nominated for best original screenplay, sound editing and best score.
Princess and the Frog has two nominations in the Best Song category and a Best Animated Film nomination as well.
Looking forward to the Awards night this year - there are a lot of big commercial films up for the big awards this year. In recent years, I've been disappointed as more 'niche' movies have been the big winners.
