Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At World's End

Postby KeithS » Thu Oct 12, 2006 9:06 pm

Well, the "At World's End" title now appears official. The Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification have classified the advertising material for Pirates 3 with an M-equivalent rating.

Their website gives the film the title "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End"

Whilst in the US - we met some Disney insiders who had seen footage of the new movie and it is apparently unbelievable - I won't post spoilers, I already know more than I wish I did. This movie is going to be huge!

Thanks for that Keith. Dead Man's Chest left me feeling kinda empty, so I'm hoping for a really big finish with the end of the trilogy.

I read recently that it's more than likely not going to end with 3 though and that Johnny Depp is considering signing on for #4. Although apparently #3 is the end to the current storyline.

Just posted a news story (off the front page of the site) that quashes a rumour about #4.

Also another story about Disneyland Paris that I would hope none of our recently returned travellers were involved in.

We saw some strange and very un-Disneylike things in Paris, but nothing like that!

Just wait until the Paris report is up...

TWO SLEEPS TO GO.....

where's the excitement?
Where's the pirate jokes?

I'm really surprised no one is talking about this one. Its the culminaton of the trilogy people! Or am I the only one that doesn't know what's going to happen? thats possible. I have purposely not read too much so that it was a big surprise - which it will be.

Who's going on Thursday?

I will be after work and I'm almost fit to burst. I can't believe its almost a year since the last one came out.

MMMM...... Captain Jack..... :P
they could just leave the sound off and let me watch and I'd still pay the admission price..... :D more than once.

I went to see the last one at the movies 3 times so if this one is as good I can pretty much predict the same thing.

Bring it on.

What do you call a mathematically intelligent buccaneer?
A PI-rat (PI= 3.14)

How many pirates does it take to change a light bulb?
Four. One to change the light bulb, and two to resuscitate the forth pirate who got his hook caught in the socket!

Why do pirates read girly magazines?
for the AAARRRticles...

You are right, it has been very quiet around here recently.

I sat on Micechat on Sunday reading the live posts from the fans who were at the premier and were posting to the web forum using their PDAs etc.

Della, Nicole, Matt and I are looking to go on Saturday evening (in the City I guess - I'm not in charge of the planning!)

I have no idea what happens in this movie - I'm staying clear of speculation as I don't want it spoiled :)

Am I excited - you betcha!!!

ok... no spoilers I promise.... :D

but

OMG

BRILLIANT movie.

I did guess several of the twists. :(

Thoroughly enjoyed it.... and the almost 3 hours disappeared like it was about 10 minutes.

I might have to go again next week considering it only cost me $7.00 for the ticket.... unbelievable

You're all going to love it.

Several quotes got ferreted away in my brain for future signatures..... :)

I saw it last night as well at Bondi Junction (there were some people dressed as pirates attending)
for Pirate fans of the Attraction you are going to love this one , many nods to the attraction are scatted through the movie.

Sandie , Hope all went well in your surgery. and the bug won I have booked my plane for the end of november

I've seen it! I thought it was good (especially the last 45 minutes) but I also have reservations about the story and the pacing. (Maybe I need to see it again - there was an awful lot happening!)

I'll wait a bit to discuss, knowing that a lot of people still have to go to see it.

Ok I got to see it on Wednesday night and I won't spoil anything but there were issues:

My family were confused. It took me 45 minutes to explain everything after the movie - and this is not just to my kids but my husband and mother in law too.

Bits of it were annoying to me - won't say which bits until everyone has seen the movie.

It was ok but it will never be one of my favourites like 1 and 2 are.

Cool - maybe you could write an article for the newsletter that could explain it all to me too :D

Yep - and I believe I know exactly what you are talking about. By the end of next week, I think we can begin our discussion as most people would have seen it by then, wouldn't they?!

I went to see P3 again with some friends tonight.

And yes, I did have to do a lot of joining of the dots for them; I even loaned them P2 this week so they could 'study' before we went. :)

I have to say, I love this movie. i didn't find it all that confusing and I didn't find any parts that annoyed me. Didn't see too much that I missed the first time ( which surprised me) but knowing what was going to happen did allow me to notice more of the smaller details sprinkled throughout.

And for those that haven't seen it yet, make sure you stay until after the credits.
Tis worth the wait me hearties...... :D

We've finally had our viewing. I loved it. It had me engrossed the whole time. There was nothing really annoying, although a bit that was a little unusual at first, but even that was understtod a short time later. A worthy "threequel" I feel. Look forward to the chatting.
