Bedtime Stories

Postby sandie » Sun Jan 04, 2009 3:17 pm

We saw Bedtime Stories today and whilst it was ok ( the other 3 memebers of my family liked it more than me) the preview for Up was great and we saw a preview for another Disney movie but now I can't remember it!

I'm not a big Adam Sandler fan so I doubt I'll bother seeing Bedtime Stories till its on DVD.
On the other hand, I am a HUGE Jim Carrey fan and I haven't seen a movie with him in it that I don't like, so I can thoroughly recommend 'YES man' . Laughed from start to finish. In fact, I might even go and see it again at the movies I liked it that much.

I'm not a funny Jim Carrey fan but have been surprised and impressed by his more serious roles. The Truman Show, The Majestic, The Number 23 etc

The majestic was brilliant... and the Truman Show is ok.... I use that catch cry all the time.

Course the favourite will always be the Grinch.... with 'YES man' a close second... it was hilarious.

Me neither - I don't know why but his comedy has never clicked with me (except Dumb and Dumber - I really like that film :D but I suspect that is because I like the Farrelly brothers crazy stories, rather than anything Jim did in that film)

I think Jim Carrey is an acquired taste, a bit like Adam Sandler or Chevy Chase. Really can't face an Adam Sandler movie ( except Big Daddy and the Wedding Singer) but anything with Chevy Chase in.... I'm there. I never tire of Dumb and Dumber either. Thats gold.
