NARNIA

Postby mushu mama » Fri Dec 07, 2007 8:29 am

I saw some footage for Prince Caspian yesterday and was very impressed. The special effects look fantastic. Has anyone else seen any trailers etc of this yet?

I'm very much looking forward to this one (having read the series last year for the first time) and the new National Treasure movie.
I'll go and see Enchanted but its just not setting my world on fire.. maybe when I see McDreamy in tights it might get more interesting. I was reading a review the other day and the fool that wrote it gave away the ending !!!!! Not happy Jan.

Yep - the new Prince Caspian trailer looks awesome. It also looks a little darker than the first film.

I also saw the new National Treasure trailer - it has a complete scene from the new film and looks great - can't wait for both these films!

I also saw a musical clip from Enchanted on You Tube the other night - and it was really cool and funny. I am looking forward to this film. The reviews from the US are very positive (and I didn't read the spoiler one - thankfully!)

Any chance of having that in the trailers section off the home page Keith?

Oops - sorry Lisa, I missed this message. Ummm...let me see, I don't think our site has the capacity to store the trailers - they are quite big, but I could set up a trailer link page that redirects you to them. How about I work on that on the weekend? ;)

The best ones were when Disney had the Ratatouille and Pirates trailer pages that you could embed in our website. That way, Disney hosted the trailer, but it looked like it was in our own site, plus they provided the nice backdrops and a countdown clock! I was hoping they were going to do that with all their releases but it never eventuated. :(

Interesting news out of Hollywood today - Disney has dumped the Narnia franchise. Walden media who own the rights are still planning on bringing out the third film, but will seek a new partner.

Interesting that a little over a year later, I now have all three of the movies discussed in this thread in my DVD collection. :D

Is it just me, or didn't it used to take longer than that to go from release to DVD cupboard ? :?

I watched the last of them last night ( Prince Caspian)... oh .. ok...and again this morning.... and have to say, it really lived up to my expectations ( and from what I've been reading about this movie I hadn't been too hopeful). I'm hoping that a new financier can be found for the next one.

Has everyone seen Prince Caspian? what did you think?

Della and I also liked Prince Caspian - much more so than The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I guess I was a bit over TLTWATW - having done it at school and watched a variety of made for TV versions over the years. Also, Prince Caspian was an edgier book - and that came across in the film. The next two, Voyage of the Dawn Treader then The Silver Chair were my favourites, so I really hope we get to see them at some point.

I'm sure I saw Prince Caspian on the plane but for the life of me I am struggling to recall it.
