I thought you were joining for the Disneyland portion?
At least you can meet the new character at Hong Kong.  While I don't follow Duffy and friends much (yet), even I'm intrigued.
I have to prioritise at the moment. A likely trip to Hong Kong, possible trip to Japan and maybe trip to India for the remainder of this year means the USA misses out. I also just bought a motorbike so a few more local trips in the plans.

I totally get that, exactly why the cruise was a miss for me.  Reality gets in the way far too often!  Sounds like a good year of travel though.

I think we'll need to start an official countdown now - it is 101 more days to the trip commences :)

Just a bit of an update for those on the cruise.

If you want to see the Personal Navigators from this same cruise last year, then go on over to the Disney Cruise Blog website - they have the Navigators for all seven days of the cruise.
https://disneycruiselineblog.com/2017/10/personal-navigators-7-night-mexican-riviera-san-diego-october-15-2017/

You can see from the Navigators what type of night it is.
Night 1 - Cruise Casual
Night 2 - Formal Night
Night 3 - Cruise Casual
Night 4 - Pirates or Cruise Casual
Night 5 - Halloween or Cruise Casual
Night 6 - Semi Formal
Night 7 - Cruise Casual

It is almost certain to be exactly the same dress-code pattern for our cruise.

Also, I highly recommend reading the first Navigator (you might not want to read spoilers on the other days).  That has some important information about booking character greetings for The Princess Gathering, The Frozen Characters, and the character breakfast booking.

Remember - it is only 105 days until the ship sets sail!

It is getting down to the business end of this trip now.  The cruise check was open for us last night and we booked our Port Adventures and ticketed character greetings :)

Good to see you're all over it Keith, I haven't looked at anything for the Disneyland part, other than my Halloween ticket!  I fly out in 50 days.

Has anyone done World of Colour dining packages?  Am interested to know if the seating is worth it?

World of Colour is down at the moment - they had a major malfunction with one of the floating platforms and there is no return date.  Hopefully it'll be back by the time we get there.

Yep - it is not a good situation - apparently the centre platform sank and caused considerable damage to the structure.  They're trying to fix it now.

Re: 2018 Club Trip. Maybe D23 in Anaheim in August 2019

Postby lryland » Tue Jul 31, 2018 7:27 pm

Over the last 10 years we have had a number of club trips to the parks. Starting with the 25th anniversary of Tokyo Disneyland where we joined members of the Disneyana a Fan Club. Of course the first trip was our world Disney Trip visiting all the Disney parks on one holiday in 2006.
In 2011 25 of us visited Hong Kong Disneyland
In 2013 we visited the pacific Disney parks at Christmas time
In 2016 we attended the opening opening of Shanghai Disneyland

I would like to get your ideas for our next club trip?

I'm less than 4 weeks from my holiday starting and am getting pretty excited.  Thanks to Lauren I have my ticket for Frozen on Broadway so she and I will have a bit of Disney fun a couple of weeks earlier.  Struggling through a head cold at the moment but at least I'm getting it over before I fly!

As I'm not good at counting days (my brain turns off when I get home) I'll let someone else do the countdown to the actual club trip.  I feel the 5yr old in me getting ready \8-/

Wow - you'll have to give us your review on Frozen on Broadway!  That'll be amazing :)
