The school tour ended today and we have transferred to the Best Western across from the park for the next 4 nights.

Today we went to universal - it felt like there really wasn't much to do there but maybe because it was fairly quiet and I got to ride Jurassic park, the mummy and transformers twice with no waits.

You'll have to let us know what that hotel is like these days. We stayed there on our first visit in 2005 and liked it, but have never been back! It has a great location.

We are happy with the hotel it is a certainly an improvement on the clarion where the buffet breakfast was just awful. The breakfast at Park Place is fine. We are on the ground floor and 2 rooms from the front on the right side of the hotel facing the park. The left side has more passing traffic and apparently is noisier. It really is a great location and we can't hear any traffic. There is a spa and pool and in the next hotel an excellent market. We also had dinner at Millie's last night which has great cheap meals with veggies.

We are currently sitting waiting for world of color. It has been a very wet day in the park and quite overcast but as a result the numbers were low. The temperature has also dropped after 2 very hot days.

Yes - that's the side we stayed in, it was nice and quiet, we were further back though - near the pool/laundry.

Awesome - you get to see the new version! Did you ever see the original one? Is this version better? I've heard good reports about it. I loved the old version, one of my favourite shows.

This is my first time at DCA since all the renos including world of color. I always liked this park but it really is amazing now.

World of Color started with a hymn called Glow and from what they said when announcing it it was recorded online by hundreds of Americans and each of their videos was projected on the water.

The frozen and toy story bits were funny and brilliant.

I didn't see in light up ears until after the show and they had been standing behind us.

We had an interesting conversation with a CM on the railroad who normally works on thunder mountain. He said he starts back there tomorrow when they begin testing and will reopen in February. He said they had to excavate into rock and that's what caused the delay.

When it's 10am and Peter Pan has a posted time of 60 minutes it's a very busy day in the park!
