I was just checking out the Florida weather - it looks like Hurricane Irene is going to miss Florida by a big margin, so you should be okay to get to Orlando tomorrow!

The first I heard of the Hurricane was on a friends FB page, he's there working at WDW on an internship - hes a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach, and there's a lot of chatter about when and if it'll hit, so I'm please to hear its going to miss Orlando, for both Josh and Gerards sake.

Yes I had to say a sad farewell to the Disneyland Resort tonight, I finished off with WOC.
I managed to do my usual farewell tradition on throwing a couple of coins in the wishing well to wish for a speedy return.
Thanks for the weather update on Irene.
I won't be posting any YouTube from WDW as there is no wifi.
But I have lots to post on my return.
It's 10.46 pm and my shuttle is picking me up at 5.30am.
So TTFN

I'm here, it's the end of my first full day at the world. I picked up my rental car and pent half the day at MK and the other half at EPCOT.
Yesterday, my flight was delayed in taking off a full two hours as there was something wrong with the fuel system.
I just made my ADR for the Californinan Grill, the food was incredible.

Very warm here, not has hot as it was at Disneyland, it is a different sort of heat.

I am having a spa treatment at Saratoga Springs Spa, my usual (grand Floridian) is closed
Then I have a ADR at the Studios and then front row centre seat at La Nouba.

It's 7.07pm on day 2 at WDW.
I had my spa treatment so if felt relaxed.
Then did a bit of retail therapy at the gap outlet, now I'm set for a few years.
The to the studios, no too busy today, most attractions were 10mins or less (except for toy story)
Now getting ready for my front row centre seat at la nouba.

Tomorrow I think I will do Animal kingdom.

So who knows the best day to do universal?
can someone research it for me ( limited net here)
Im thinking of Monday

I found a crowd calendar.

Mon-Thu the crowds will be moderate. This is the 3rd highest crowd measure. (Theme parks are moderately busy. Expect ample crowds and noticeably long lines for the popular attractions, particularly between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Extra shows may have reduced schedules.)

Park hours: USF 9-6, IOA 9-8

Fri - Sun will be busy [Theme parks are busy. Expect large crowds and long lines for the popular attractions (lines will be noticeably shorter in the very early morning and late evening). Extra shows will likely be in operation.] Sat & Sun USF open 1 extra hour, Sun IOA open 1 extra hour.

Enjoy!

and here is my hint for getting on to HP with minimal wait.

If you have anything - hat, camera etc you will need to line up for a locker - this line was 30 minutes when we were there and then the ride queue was 2 hours. Leave your stuff in the lockers for the Dragons Challenge. Go into the sho at the exit of the HP ride and there is an entrance to the locker area - every one will just assume you are retrieving items. keep going across and you exit right in front of the single rider line. !0 minute wait max. Yes you will probably want to line up once to see all the castle but you get a sample on the single rider line too.
