Oh my lord...

Beth you are about to be kinda shocked when you travel with me.

Although, to be fair, I've actually been applying myself to some actual planning for the HKDL trip so maybe there is hope for me yet.

I DO admire your miltary precision girls and wish I had that kind of attention span. :D

I don't plan to be so organised for HK, probably because someone else has started that process but also I know what to expect and don't have the added pressure of trying to do everything.

Plus in HK you will only have to worry about yourself. I have to make sure 3 other people are happy too!

Look I have these fantasies about HK for the moment that have me waking without an alarm and then deciding what I feel like doing that day but I know full well that this will not be the reality.

I think the researching, planning, booking in advance just makes it all feel so real and gives you something to hang onto until time passes and you actually get on the plane. I am itching to buy my plane ticket but we have haven't even heard yet whether we got the minimum of 8 and Daniel has sent through the booking forms.

and I am starting to ponder HAVING to get up and do things to a certain schedule   which I generally try to avoid at all costs on vacay. Definitely packing something with an alarm clock involved.

SERIOUSLY????? HE DOES THAT??? -/ -/ -/

ok.. you better not be teasing me cos I want that wake up call every morning I'm there now!

( am presuming whatever that above quote is, means something more like 'wake up princess Lisa, time to go gather some magic'... rather than.. "wake up you lazy cow, you've slept through 3 of these already and if you don't move you'll miss breakfast')

Lisa - it is a Disney holiday! You want to be up in time for that character breakfast don't you? Or to participate in the rope drop at park opening? There'll be plenty of time to sleep on the flight back home :D

1. Sandie has a new job - actually the job I have been doing for 6 months.
That is really quite handy to have isn't it? A great example of ducks all lining up.
2. Absolutely everything is booked and paid for
You can't say things like that without filling in the detail. For example, what cruise, itinerary, what type of cabin etc.
3. Every single eftpos card Peter and I have has a $1000 per day limit which makes it hard to buy $5000 of travellors cheques
Surely electronic transfer is possible in this day and age. I would normally suggest the Cash Passport card which I used for the first time last trip, but then seeing your organisation of plastic sleeves, it's not worth going there.
4. The Daytona race track is being resurfaced so all Richard Petty Expriences are cancelled for this year so we know have an extra park day
Definitely bitter sweet this news. Looking forward to an opportunity of driving on a legen dairy track like Daytona would be awesome, but if it means extra park time, then it can't be all that bad.

As an aside, my parents are planning 3 weeks in Britain, jumping on a cruise (not Disney unfortunately) to Miami, then driving to Disney World/Orlando. I think I've convinced them to stay onsite in a moderate, especially since free dining has just been extended. But they called me this morning after reading all the information I gave them over the weekend, and said they have changed their plans - they're extending their stay! And they will be leaving Florida, flying to San Fran, driving to Anaheim and will be AGAIN spending a few days in DL and will be making sure they see World of Colour.

Fine by me. If they're doing it with these type of trips, then it's worth it. At least they're not on boring pensioner bus trips. Just a shame they're not there when Sandie and Colin are there, they may have got some onsite assistance.

Yep - balcony was a deal breaker for me.

Travel agent told me ship is not even a 1/4 full so we may get upgraded.

Anthony how full was your ship since it was the exact same cruise?
