Hi,
Well I’ve been a little busy since getting back last week and this is the first time I’ve had a chance to get on line.
We had just the best time and it went better then I ever expected, the Team at Hong Kong Disneyland went out of their way to make some very memorable Magic moments for everyone.
When we first arrived the Gifts in our rooms giving that special touch to the Star Guests, the Tinkerbell photo frame/album, tin of Biscuits, the welcome towel cake and the bed end covers as part of the Star Guest program and not to forget the towel animals the adorn the room all of which we were able to keep.
Everyone was given a room upgrade to ocean view rooms with balconies, the service was great the food was the best at every meal and in most cases it was at a Special price just for us.
The towel making and balloon art was a scream and I know none of us will get a job as a balloon artist anytime soon. This was to be an hour class it went 2 hours 15 minutes, the Cast members had a ball too.
We were lucky to have a cast member to be our guide on most occasions that was Tommy he didn’t want it to end either.
We had our first overseas DUD meeting.
We also got to go in the Parade and made some Guest lining the Parade route feel special doing the Hi 5. The Buzz light year challenge was another group event that went well.
What about the Cocktails given by Andrew Kam MD of HK DL this was the best, we were treated like Royalty, the food, the great location to watch the Fireworks you couldn’t beat.
That night we also got to reward Alex a cast member that Narelle and I had as our Jungle Cruise skipper back on our first visit to HK DL in 2009. We thought he did a great job and had asked if he could be available for the DUD visit in April and he was. He did just the best job once again, he is HKs answer to Jerry Lewis, to reward him Della & Keith had the idea of giving Alex one of the DUD polo shirts at the cocktails so I asked if it was O/K to get him there to present it to him and the O/K was given, it was the first time he had watched the Fireworks from the Station let alone been invited to cocktails, he was over the moon thanks to Della & Keith.
We were also lucky to be at HK DL for the new Magic Access after Party which we must thank Fanny at HK DL for organising our passes, this was the first time HK DL had this event and it gave 1000 Annual Pass & Magic Access Pass holders the chance to stay for two hours after the Fireworks in Fantasyland to enjoy the rides and Characters for Photos many that we hadn’t been able to get Photos with before.
This was a once in a lifetime trip that will be remembered for a long time to come thanks to the many Special Cast Members at HK DL.
With Special thanks to Andrew Kam, Peter Lowe, Noble Coker, Cecilia Ho, Fanny Chow & Tommy Yiu for helping bring a dream I had to coming true.
Thank you to all the DUDs and Family and Friends that help make it all happen because without you it wouldn’t have been the Trip it was.
