Mind you at the character dining its so much better to see the characters

Me too - I found that although we ran into a lot of characters in Tokyo parks when we were there, it was the one thing in Japan that had little order - it was a free-for-all to try and get photos with them. Our experience in Paris was the same. Hong Kong and the US Parks have a lot more order to the in-park character greetings.

Now I have something else to worry about....morning sickness! I'm hoping it won't be as bad as it was last time I was in Japan....

Did I miss this bit of news somewhere along the line? when is the new little Disney fan to arrive? Thats exciting news Mel -/ -/

You didn't miss an announcement Lisa, this was pretty much it! I wasn't going to post anything, but then my blabbermouth MIL put it up on Facebook so the whole world knows anyway! I was 8 weeks pg with Ben when we went to TDL 4 years ago and I'll be 7 weeks pg this time. I'm due just after New Years I haven't been as sick as I was with the boys. I don't know if it's because I'm running around more with them now or if my body is just use to the hormones after three pregnacies in four years!!!! I'm very grateful we're not traveling throughout Japan now though, I remember the walk through Kyoto station almost killed me last time. The door to door pickup on arrival will be even more welcome now too!

Our little countdown chain is so tiny now! Only seven more sleeps! This time next week we will be nearly at Narita

Well, as these things always happen, Ben has the cold from hell. Sprung up on Monday night and has morphed into a bad one. He gags whenever I try to give him anything to help so we've just got to ride it out. I hate giving the kids antibiotics, but sometimes these things spring from viruses so they work occasionally. Problem being, Ben is allergic to penicillin and all it's derivatives so we really do just have to ride it out. Jr looks like he might be getting it too and I woke up with a blocked nose this morning, but I'm hoping it's just a pg side-effect. If I do get a cold, I can take NOTHING for it except panadol which would be miserable in Disney!

Not to mention, we're paying a fortune for Ben's school and he's already missing two weeks for our holiday and has now missed every day this week bar Monday!!!!

Okay, now that I've had my little whinge I'll look at the positive side.... we leave in five days!!! Our countdown chain is looking rather pathetic now The weather looks like it's warming up in Tokyo and we're going to have highs of low-mid 20s although a few days have showers predicted. We're ready for that though so all will be well! Just gotta get my boys better before we fly!

Sorry to hear you are all under the weather - but is the silver lining that it might be all out of the way by the time you go? lets hope so.
The penicillin allergy ( and its alternatives) is a pain... I am too. Its awful being so restricted by meds. I've explored many of the natural therapy options but you can't go past the curative powers of good ol' vicks vapour rub before bed.

I can't wait to hear how the trip goes...

Sorry to hear you are all a bit under the weather - but hopefully five days will get you all over the worse of it.

It's gotten to the point now where BOTH boys remind me to cut a ring off it every morning Today we're down to FOUR!

Ben has been soaking up EVERYTHING I say about DL lately. This morning when he woke up he came into bed with me (DH works nights) and we were talking about the trip. We were going through the rides and got to Pirates. "I don't think I like Pirates" he tells me, I try to reassure him that it will be lots of fun and he'd like it. "I'd better take a sword with me!" he comes back with! OMG I laughed so hard! We've been looking at the old map we've got, but I didn't think he'd been paying too much attention or at least taking it all in but this morning he was talking about Tomorrowland, Pinocchio, Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, Teacups and Dumbo. And they are the names that HE used! I reckon he'll be planning our days for us by the end of the trip!

BTW, his cold is MUCH better - still coughing his head off, but he doesn't look or sound like death warmed up now. Last night however, Jr coughed until he was sick At least if it's a virus I can start him on antibiotics though. Four days!!!!

Better sick now than next week!

Have you started packing? -/

I have thought about packing and got our bags out, but that's as far as I've taken it so far. I have been picking up bits and pieces that we need and they're all together too so I guess I have started. With the boys being sick though, I haven't been able to start packing clothes because I'm washing three outfits each per day!

Well tomorrow is the big day I still haven't packed, but I'm sure I will finish it off by bedtime. It's just clothes that need to be packed now, all the 'bits' are packed. Have to sort out the carry on bags too, with stuff to keep the boys entertained on the flights. We're not taking any kind of contacting devices while we're gone; no phones, no computers - nothing, so you won't hear from me until next Friday.
