yep, I've been wondering how its all going too... I guess it IS always a bit manic before a big trip....

I'm sure you guys are all starting to feel the excitement.... what an amazing adventure you are all about to have.

Good luck with all your last minute things... hope you don't do what I did two days before going to the States ( set my kitchen on fire  )

Sorry, with all that has been going on I hadn't really thought of updating where we're at. Keith, I finished up on the 18th a week after I was notified. They don't muck around. And no I didn't get a farewell, I left with barely a wimper-didn't even get a phone call from the manager. I suppose it was a sign of the times of where I was working.

Anyway that's not important. Today I picked up the travellers cheques which I ordered last week when I also purchased a cash passport. I also picked up the vouchers for the few things I organized through a travel agent. Booked the hotel we're staying at the night we come off the ship and from where we'll visit NASA. That's pretty well everything done for the travel component. Now the hard part of getting things organised on the home front, things like the pool, garden and other trivial things. We'll start packing maybe tomorrow or Wednesday only because we need to be done and ready by Friday as we leave for the wedding on Friday. Got the lift to the airport sorted which is good as well.

I'll come back when we're packed and near ready. And no we are not practice packing either. 8)

Setting the kitchen on fire Lisa? I hope we don't go to those extremes. But then I suppose not much chance of that as we won't be home the best part of 3 days before we leave.

Only a couple of days to go now Anthony!

Before you head off, I just want to wish you and the family a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Have a safe and fun trip (I don't think that'll be too hard!) and take lots of photos. Oh, and update your blog if your get the chance!

We'll be following your daily itinerary and cheering you on each day.

See you back here in 2010!

Thanks Keith. We're all but packed now with most of our bags being at the in-laws now for the trip to the airport tomorrow. The weekend is now over, wedding is behind us and the concert has been danced so now it's full steam ahead. We still have to clean the house and do the last minute packing stuff but we can now focus our attention and efforts into the trip, which means it's now getting exciting!

I will try and get on here but if I don't Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year, hope 2010 brings everyone what they want (like a job for example  )

11 hours till we leave the house!

How exciting - Anthony and his family will be at the airport now - about to get on their plane! I can see the airport from my office right now - anyone of those flights taking off could be theirs... :D

Sounds like a rough transit in places  Nice to hear they are there safe and sound and ready to Disney. Looking forward to further updates.

Thanks for the link Keith. Oh how I wish I was there! I haven't been to Universal Orlando since 1997 so I think we will definitely be adding it to our list for 2014. Sounds like it's quite the destination now :)

Hi all, I have just got online again today and posted another update. We went to the Very Merry Christmas Party last night and even though the weather was not all that friendly, it was a great night. Some photos have also been posted on the site. We are non stop at Universal at present but having a wonderful time. This resort is something else with the waterways and how everything seems so far away but so close in reality. Will catch up again later.

Awesome photos and blog update Anthony - thanks so much for sharing (and I feel your pain regarding the outlet centre shopping...at least you got to see Dale Jnrs car at the Nascar Cafe!)

I hope the weather improves for you - it looks like it'll improve over the next few days but still very chilly!

Keep having fun!
Keith

Thanks. Sea world today and the weather has turned crisp. Speaking to a local today and this is unusually cold buts it's still not too bad. I'll get another update up next couple of days. Discovery cove on Monday.

Today was not too bad compared to other years, some years it gets very cold and you see lots of people at places like the Fantasmic show with the Disney blankets off the beds, quite funny actually, and Disney seems quite relaxed about it.

Good to see you are enjoying the holiday and all is going well.
