Secured the Sleigh Ride at Fort Wilderness on Christmas day for our regular 6.30 pm slot. Leanne was calling WDW tours most days until the ride was added.

Had a surprise last weekend, a friend of ours with 4 kids went last October for the first time to Disney, they asked for plenty of advice and went for three weeks to WDW and a few days at DL. They never saw anything apart from the theme parks and missed all the night shows and hated the hot weather. She says to me she wants to meet us for dinner before the 19th December, I say we will be away and she says no we want to meet you over there. Said she got airfares for the six of them on Delta going some milk run route for 10 thousand. Think they are now hooked. They leave the 26 Nov and fly home 19th December. We booked three Disney ADRS for the eight of us.

That is awesome when you 'convert' people! It is great to see people who go over there and get it! Too many people I've sent over there have come back and hated it - LOL! Sometimes it is hard for people to suspend reality for a moment I guess.

Now I have to work on them to stay on-site, it is hard for them with 4 kids, but when I worked out the figures they drew even to have two studios at POP, it was the same as what they paid for off-site, when you factor in the car hire, $15.00 parking at the theme parks. The thing that sent them off-site was the place had a washer/dryer in the unit.

She has trouble believing me that the Disney buses, boats and monorail are free even to non disney guests.

Some time ago we went around to their place for dinner and see their photos. His MIL says to them next time you go you need to go to the Grand Canyon, his reply was no I just want to go to Disney!

I agree, the Grand Canyon is worth seeing, BUT!

I also agree with the response more so! Good to see you have more converts Colin. It does bug me when people say to others, you have to go elsewhere etc. Give me 2 weeks at any Disney resort any time, especially at the moment!

Speaking of which - are there any travel plans in your future Anthony?

Always travel plans in the future Keith. Unortuntely without full time employment they remain only plans. One day I'm hopeful.

Maybe you should think about living in Lake Beuna Vista as an illegal!

I did ask someone that, if I had enough DVC points I could live at the Boardwalk all year. Only problem is the money you earn as an illegal wouldn't pay the maintenance fees for a month!

Ah - sorry about that, I didn't know what your employment situation was. I hope you find something soon.

As for living in Lake BV, I think I'd rather get a job with the Disney Cruise Line - free food and lodging, and you get paid (a little), and you see the world (or three or four ports in the Caribbean...every seven days...)

You're right, you weren't to know and thanks so do I. I do like the sound of living at beuna vista or on the ships though.

Not long after our friends booked one set of parents decided they would go as well except that last week he (the parents) ended up in hospital and Thursday last week had to cancel the trip for the two of them. he is getting a pacemaker fitted this week. Our friends left today so will meet over there.

Gee that comes around quickly. You'd be in the process of tidying up things at work, so I suspect you're flat chat. And selling the hilux too.

That does come around quick!

I finally got to check out the Boardwalk when I was there in September and was thinking of you Colin as I walked around. I instantly recognised the area where your balcony was from the photos you post each year - it was good to finally see it in person. I also got to check out the shops in the resort :)

Please pass on my regards to Becky if you get to see her, I wasn't able to get in to Be Our Guest in September as it was crazy busy then (free dining I guess), but it was great meeting her back in March.

PS. Hi Anthony - hope you are well! We don't see you much these days around here? Are you heading to the City again this New Year!?

This would be the most relaxed lead up to a trip. Have enough work without a backlog and a job of about 3 months to come back to. Bought a new Hilux and selling the old legend. It will be exciting on Sunday night when the ebay auction finishes. I was thinking about taking to the scrap metal!
