The townhouse will always need work but how often will this opportunity arise?
Greg
Haha, I can see rust on my roof, my stove is starting to play up, my blinds don't work and the front door needs a good hit at the top to close.  It's not so much doing cute stuff, more I've let it run down while I travel!
The ship's big enough for people to avoid me?  Oh that's not good   On my wish list but need to consult the bank account.

I'm a big advocate for Disney cruises. Once you've done one, there will be no turning back.

Karen - I'd never been on anything larger than the Manly ferry until we went on a 7-night cruise on the Disney Fantasy. Della and I were paranoid about sea sickness, but in the end - we had no ill effects at all and had a wonderful time. We then did the Alaska/Hawaii cruises back to back on the Disney Wonder and were expecting the worse for the Hawaii cruise across the Pacific and still we had a wonderful time with no ill effects. On that back-to-back cruise, we spent 17 nights on board and it still wasn't enough to do everything!!! In fact, the port days were getting in the way of us doing the fun ship stuff LOL.

But you're right, they aren't cheap - so I get it if house repairs are a priority! But don't let the motion put you off doing a future cruise - and if motion is a problem, try the Alaskan cruise someday - it goes up the inside passage so you aren't even in open waters for most of the trip, but smooth sheltered water.

Yep, unless you are literally in the middle of a big storm the motion of the ship is hardly noticeable. Can you imagine working in a kitchen with sharp, hot and burning things if the ship was rocking around all the time?

I crossed the entire Pacific and it was one of the smoothest bits of water I encountered, it's not called "pacific" for nothing.

I agree with Keith on the Alaskan cruise. If I was forced to recommend a specific one then that would be it.

Thanks Keith, Alaska is somewhere I'd definitely do a cruise someday.  My sister are both up for a Disney cruise of Alaska but not for a few years we all have other plans for the next year or so.  I'll see how things go, it would be amazing to travel with all of you and make it so much more fun!

We'll be coming for the Disneyland part of the trip. Would love to do the cruise but we want to wait until our children are older, and I have to be back at work for Term 4....teacher life lol.

Quick question, maybe you'll know Keith, the LA day, will we be using a coach or mini vans or our own transport? We can take the children on a coach but would need car seats for smaller transport.

Exciting!!!!!!!

That's great news Rebecca that you will be going to Disneyland for the Club Trip.
I'm sure we are going to have a great time.

Oh yeah, I'd better get to that.  No idea what I'll be doing before and after, but I need to contact the organiser to at least get onto the LA bus trip etc.  Seems a few are going so will be great to come along and do Disney with the 'experts' (at least compared to me).

Karen, your Park list looks like you'd qualify as a well informed amateur if not an expert.

Don't forget - there is still plenty of time to commit to the 2018 Club Trip next September-October.

As a reminder, we will be spending around a week in Disneyland, followed by a Disney Cruise Line adventure to the Mexican Riviera!

Wayne has been hard at work while over at D23 arranging events for the Disneyland week of the tour - there will be some amazing experiences and surprises that we'll be able to share.  We'll provide more details about some of these once plans are firmed up.

We are refreshing the tour brochure soon too - so keep an eye out for it!

The trip is getting close and I haven't booked anything other than Anaheim accommodation (but am keeping an eye on specials so I can get a closer hotel).

Just wondering if anyone is going to the outlets during the trip?  I may try to get to the Outlets on the East coast while visiting friends otherwise thought I'd check if anyone is going to Citadel.  Doesn't seem easy to get to though.  Being short I find America and Canada the best places to shop.

Also on the East Coast I'm hoping to see Frozen on Broadway, will depend which friends are available and where I end up.  Probably need to finalise that sooner rather than later!

It'll be great if you get to see Frozen!

I'm not planning on visiting the outlets when I'm over there - but I'm sure some of the folks on the trip will want to do that.

It is less than 150 sleeps away now :)

Some of the hotels in Anaheim have pick up points for transfers to a number of local shopping centres and one or two of the outlets. Check when checking into your hotel. Most hotels have a wall of brow hers on tours.

Thanks Wayne, I will certainly check this out and if my motel doesn't have anything I'll stroll confidently into another one and see what's in their reception.
My anxiety's being playing up lately so I'm really looking forward to the trip even more than usual :)

Starting to get jealous of you guys. I may have to make a trip to Hong Kong at about the same time to assuage the pangs. :-)

I thought you were joining for the Disneyland portion?
At least you can meet the new character at Hong Kong.  While I don't follow Duffy and friends much (yet), even I'm intrigued.
