Whoa... I'm so far behind...

Great report Greg, although, I still think it'll be the last park I get to ( only HK and Shanghai to go).

You haven't been to Hong Kong...but it's the closest one? Sell your kids, the dog or your virtue but get to Hong Kong, it's also one of my favourite cities in the world.

hahaha... kids are grown, I have no dog so looks like the virtue has to go
I REALLY want to go to Hong Kong but I keep getting side tracked.  I was planning to cross off both the China parks next and now have been sidetracked again... early stages of planning to go to Tokyo again for their 35th.  Who knows though, all just 'maybe' at the moment.

Please add more of your visit.
My Dh and I visited SDL last Oct/Nov and stayed onsite at TSH. We were lucky enough to read about the Disneytown entrance for hotel guests and each day we were one of the first people in line (and therefore first on Tron and making fastpass ressies as you could only do that once you had entered the park). However none of our kids came with us (same trip they met us in WDW later) so now my DD is keen to visit SDH in March 2019 for her birthday (of course I'm very keen too). I'd love to hear more about everyone's visits here as Toystory Land was still under construction and there is more stuff posted online now tips wise. We would stay onsite again with a 2 day pass and is the weather is fine visit again for another 2 days...What is your advice? Has anyone been into Club 33 here? Has the Starbucks released any "You are here" mugs with Shanghai Disney on them yet? Are any characters signing autographs yet (they were not late last year and I didn't notice this whilst in line)? Any new character meals in the park? So much to organise!

Wow, it's been over a year already. Time really does fly as you get older.

I'm not sure i can add much more but someone else must have been in the last 14 months that can post an update.

Likewise - it has been 18 months since I was there.

I did make it into Club 33 though - so I can answer some questions about that (but not the menu...we just had coffees and watched the fireworks from the private balcony).

Wow, how did you manage that?

Haha - you must have missed the meeting when I talked about it.  I'm guessing Della and I are two of the only people in the world who aren't Club 33 members and don't work for Disney, yet have been in every Club 33 (so far). We've been lucky to have been to Anaheim three times, and Japan and Shanghai once each.

The Shanghai one was a surprise - we travelled to Shanghai with two US Disney cast members (friends of ours we met on a cruise years ago and still travel together).  They knew some Shanghai people from when WDW was training Shanghai cast prior to the park opening.  When we arrived in Shanghai - those cast members had arranged for us to access Club 33 at night time.  We were able to go there and watch the fireworks from their amazing balcony - it has be been with a wonderful view of the castle and fireworks (just like in Japan) but with a roof top viewing area.  Great fun :D

Alas I miss too many meetings, thankfully with Qantas points I'm fortunate that I can make a couple a year.  Shanghai sounds so amazing, I have looked at all those faux balconies on main street and wished I could be up there for parades and fireworks, but never thought about any places this could be done from!  If you hear of any good paying jobs going at Disney do let me know   Oh and if you happen to get access to the Anaheim one this visit, I'm only one person and I'm little enough I can squish in
