Woohoo, got the first lot of details from Wayne.

Don't know if I'm going to be able to take part in any of the planning though. From where I am at the moment I'll need to make all of my own arrangements and just meet there.

I was interstate yesterday, so I missed all the excitement of the 16 June announcement!

So - who is going to the opening?  To be honest, although I've been really looking forward to attending the park opening, June is a real pain for us and I fear that we are unlikely to attend.  Had it been Mar, Apr or May, then we were a certainty, but June...argh... For instance, Della works in a small accounting office, so June is their busiest time of the year (and there is no backup in a small business) so immediately there are issues there.

We noticed that we had a club meeting scheduled for 18 June - so I guess that meeting will be held in Shanghai now.  If it is anything like the Hong Kong meeting, it will be terrific!  I encourage anyone who can attend the club trip to do so!

Don't forget that this Sunday is the club lunch in Parramatta and it will provide a good opportunity to get an update on the trip from Wayne if you are thinking of going to Shanghai.  See you all there!

June 16 is my birthday   No trip to Shanghai to celebrate though   I am really interested in visiting it, but it wouldn't be for some years yet.  We were looking at going to Tokyo again for our next big family trip, but with the radiation levels increasing in Tokyo Bay we're not real comfortable in taking the boys there while they're so young.  Might be Shanghai now....

I was considering taking part, but now that I have to move house unexpectedly, all my savings will be sucked into that. 
Wish I could go though..

So how did the club go with getting opening day tickets?

I saw they were all sold out within a few hours of going on sale.  There were also dramas with the website too so I hope you were all successful!

I understand that they got the park tickets okay through Barry's contacts at HKDL

Not sure about the hotel accommodation yet - maybe someone else can advise how the trip planning is progressing?
