Hi guys,
Yesterday I was offered a job as a casino cashier for an American cruise line. If I pass the medical, get through the interviews with the US consulate for the visas and then decide that the poor pay is worth all the free travel to exotic ports all over the world I will probably be starting sometime next month.
What this means is that I may not be able to devote as much time to cleaning the spam and spammers off the forum as I do now. Spare time on board ship is pretty limited (one day off a month if lucky) and at the moment I'm deleting about 6 spammers a day on average. You can see how it would fill up pretty quickly if I didn't get to it for a month at a time.
What I'm hoping is that some selfless person may want to step up and take on some administrative duties. It's not as bad as it sounds, it just means that you get an extra icon come up at the top of each post (a little cross) and if you want to delete it you just click the cross and the post is gone. I've also set up a mod that allows mass deletions of users so it's just a matter of looking at a list of the new members, ticking the spammers and clicking delete. All in all it is only an extra minute to the time you spend looking at the forum anyway.
There is internet access aboard ship and I've already got my laptop all set up so I may be able to keep the job up myself but since I'm not sure I thought I'd look for help before I leave. I will probably be based in Florida (although they won't actually tell me until the last minute) which may give me opportunities to visit WDW! In that case I'll be doing trip reports and be in a good position to answer questions.
Greg
