Is there anybody out there? It's very quiet on the forum especially as we have 2 members almost at D-day!

Hello back!

I've been checking in three sometimes four times a day and there hasn't been any activity here. I'm beginning to think EVERYONE is on vacation except me.

If you don't tell anyone - I'll admit to lurking on the Dis boards and hanging about at PassPorter too. I do like it when the action is closer to home though.

Hello :)

As one of the aforementioned D-dayers, I have been checking in, but am frantically still getting ducks in a row for my time away. Every time I think all my ducks are lined up, one (or more ) of them strays and I have to regroup. Or most often, more ducks join the line and I have to start again.
Its a long drawn out process doing all that on public transport.

The most challenging part is Sandies challenges... I am busy right now making costumes and decorating shower caps which I am kind of certain may or may not fit into my one suitcase.

Getting a tad excited though... One week today until blast off. -/

I'm lurking around too - just been very busy with work and spending time with Dad who is unwell.

Still planning my big trip next year but waiting for the go-ahead from Della's boss, so until we get that, we are in a holding pattern.

I am getting excited for Lisa and Sandie's trip though - can't wait for those reports to begin flooding in :)

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life...as well as fixing every computer problem that any of my parents friends have. It's really funny when you try admin/admin as the login and password for a router and it works. The looks tend to be equal parts impressed and suspicious.

I have been offered my old job back in Laos only as a paid position this time. Only got the email last night so I am still trying to weigh up the pros and cons.

I'm swamped - anyone want to help?

Next time I organise a trip of this size I need to remember to start holidays two weeks before we leave!

I guess another reason that it is quiet around here is that we are in a period of stability as far as the Disney company is concerned. I mean - for the last few years, we've been watching Hawaii and two new cruise ships being built, DCA and Hong Kong getting fixed and we've been hanging off the news and photographs of all these things.

Sure, they are building Shanghai at the moment, but there is nothing really visible and there are no weekly photo updates from fans to show us what is happening due to where the park is located. On top of that, Disney is keeping everything under their hats. The Ratatouille ride is being built in Paris at the moment, but again, Disney haven't even officially announced it, and as it is an indoor attraction, there won't be much to see during construction other than the building itself. And then there is the work being undertaken in WDW with Fantasyland which is great, but a little underwhelming (unless you are a girl under 12 - it is certainly not a Harry Potter World killer to get excited about.)

Once Shanghai hits full swing and the Avatar land begins construction, then I think we'll all be excited again as they are major efforts - in the meantime, we'll have to be satisfied with reading along with everyone's trip planning and trip reports - so hurry up Lisa and Sandie - get over there :D

Well I think I finally have a trip in my scope, we are looking at joining Angus and his school band when they travel to California next year.

How could I miss him performing in Disneyland?

We might be able to connect with the club trip. What details do we have?

Woohoo!

The club trip is in modules, so depending on the dates of the Disneyland leg - you might very well catch up with it. You should speak to Wayne as he was collecting names of those interested in the trip at the last meeting.

Oooh - and I've just heard from Della that he has approved her six weeks leave in March for our WDW and Disney Cruise adventure :D

So if the Cruise Expo is good this weekend, we may book!

I got too excited when I typed that. I meant Della's boss has approved her leave :)

I hope to spend thousands of dollars today at that cruise expo (at least, Mr Credit Card does!) :D If not, then we'll probably just spend it online when we get back home this evening. Either way, I hope to book something today!
