Thanks guys,
I thought that joining up might help alleviate the disneyland withdrawals but after having a look around I think it will probably make me worse!

Yep - but at least by hanging around here you get to live vicariously through everyone's trip reports!

So what's the Kate story - you've been to Disneyland, how about the other parks? Have you any future trips planned? Do you collect Disney stuff?
(sorry, but we are a nosey bunch - :D )

Hi Kate. Unfortunately nothing does alleviate the Disneyland withdrawals.

Well lets see... I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was about 11 and fell in love with it straight away, I cried like a baby when we had to leave on the last day haha. Since then I have been back 5 times (3 times as an "adult") and I still cry when its time to leave (pathetic I know!).

I haven't been to the other parks yet but I know I will once my baby girl (Winter Scarlett Aurora born 15th December) is a bit older, although I am a bit of a purist and love the history of the original park so I think it will always be my favorite. I can't wait to take her to the parks, its one of the first things I thought about when I found out I was pregnant, it was the whole "how young is too young?" conversation haha.

I do collect as well but mostly an odd array of bits and pieces rather than a specific character or pins etc. My fave for now is the new Fantasyland re-dedication key from 1983 (my birth year) I bought recently. I love any piece of park history.

And lastly I have been dreaming about disneyland at least once a week for as long as I can remember so that keeps me obsessed even in my sleep!

So happy to be among other Disney freaks lol. :cat:

I cry going into the park, I cry when the mayor of main street hugs me, I cry when I see the castle, I cry on my favorite rides, I cry when I eat churros, I cry at the parades, I cry at the fireworks, I cry when I leave.... Just ask anyone who's travelled with me!

Now I cry at everyone else's trips and the fact that I don't have any on the horizon.

All of us here get a bit emotional about Disney, so you're in good company :)

I love the way you slipped a Disney Princess into your daughter's name.

We took our oldest two boys to Tokyo Disneyland when they were 3 and 16 months. I look back now and wonder what we were thinking, but it was such a fun week I'm glad we did it. My eldest even remembers snippets of the trip two years later.

Haha good to hear im not the only one who cries.
Yes I had to slip a disney name in somehow but i dont think i could get away with Snow White lol.
Chances are we will head back to disneyland next Jan or Feb so lil one will only be 1, anybody know what rides would be okay for a 1 yr old (if any)? maybe peter pan, toad, alice, etc?

Great I'm convinced, gotta go back Jan/Feb and take lil one on the rides, not that it took much convincing.
You guys are a bad influence on my finances haha :)
