July Meeting - Please Read!

Hi everyone! As you know, our July meeting is to be held on the 17th July and will celebrate the 55th anniversary of Disneyland.

The meeting was originally scheduled to be our mid-winter afternoon meeting.

Unfortunately, we've encountered a scheduling problem, courtesy of Disney on Ice! This year, Disney on Ice is only being held over one weekend in Sydney, and it just so happens to be that very weekend of our meeting. We also know that many of you like to go to Disney on Ice on the Saturday sessions.

We are therefore proposing to move the meeting to the normal 7:30pm timeslot, to allow people to attend either the morning or afternoon DoI presentation, then attend the meeting in the evening.

We are also looking to see if people would be interested in a group booking for DoI for the Saturday afternoon session (I think it is on from about 2pm to 4pm) followed by heading over to the hall for a pizza dinner and then the meeting afterwards.

Remember that the Disney on Ice theme this year is Disneyland and it will be Disneyland's 55th birthday on that actual day, so what better way to celebrate?

This is not set in stone yet - so we are seeking your feedback. Alternatives would be to still do an afternoon meeting, with people going to the evening DoI if they desire.

What are your thoughts people?

Afternoon meeting or evening meeting? Does anyone want to come along for a group DoI booking? Or would you prefer to make your own bookings?

Pre-booking goes on sale shortly so we'd need to know fairly quickly what people think.

We generally go to one of the Thursday sessions of DOI so moving or not moving the meeting won't affect me either way.

Same with us, we don't make the day time meetings anyway (sport on Saturdays) and we don't go to a Saturday session of DOI, we try and go to Wollongong anyway, it's closer and easier. If the meeting is moved we'd more than likely make it, but not because of DOI.

I don't think so Beth - I haven't heard anything from Wayne, and Della told me she just booked us tickets to the Saturday afternoon session on her own. I'm guessing that the meeting will be an evening one at 7:30 given that most of the people here have said they prefer evening meetings anyway, so you may just want to book your own DoI tickets now to ensure you get good seats.

Too late I have booked front row. I was worried that you might get a better overall view further back.

Hi Beth - I have no idea where we are. Last year, we had second row seats on the side and it was really good. In the past, we had always been on the first elevation because we thought we'd see better, but after getting the second row seats last year, we thought the ground floor seats were brilliant. I hope we have front row!
