Hello everyone! Today, we held a planning session for this year's meetings and I'm happy to say that we've got a great series of meetings to come this year. So sit back and take a look below
February 28 - 7:30pm
Our first meeting of the year will be a standard meeting - a chance for all of us to catch up with each other after the Christmas break and also catch up on the latest Disney news. We'll have all our usual segments such as new movie trailers, Disney trivia, news etc, and don't forget to bring along anything you've found since the last meeting (or maybe a special Christmas present you want to share with us all).
April 25 - 7:30pm
Disney Games and TV Game Show night! Get ready for some fun as we convert some of your favourite TV game shows into Disney trivia night (your luckydoor prize ticket will never seem the same again
). Plus we'll also have board games to play and lots of opportunities to talk and have fun.
June 27 - 2:30pm
Our traditional mid-winter daytime meeting this year will be themed as "Disney Christmas In June!" - That's right, we are giving everyone the opportunity to show off their fantastic Disney Christmas stuff! Bring your ornaments, wear your Disney Christmas jumpers, bring your Disney Christmas CDs, and get ready to celebrate at our mid-winter meeting.
August 29 - 7:30pm
This August meeting will be our theme park update night. In August, we'll have a number of members who would have just returned from visits to parks all around the world - this is their moment to update us and show us their new Disney collectibles and tell us their stories!
October 31 - 4:00pm to 9:00pm
This is it - our annual theme night! This year's theme - Disney Characters! That's right, a whole meeting focused on characters, who is your favourite? Who's brave enough to dress up like one? If your are not brave enough, that doesn't matter, bring along your favourite character-fluffy or pins or collectibles. It will be a great night!
November 28 - Picnic Day!
This year, we are moving the end of year celebration from the evening to the day - and having a Down Under Disneyana picnic day. We'll have Disney-theme party gear (plates and serviettes etc), and we'll select a BBQ/picnic site in the Sydney area - a great way to celebrate a fun year with club members.
In addition to these meetings, we'll also be announcing three club outings - Pixar's Up, Mary Poppins Broadway Show, The Princess and the Frog. More details about these outings will come once release dates have been a arranged.
2009 is going to be a great year for the Club - so tell your friends, tell your workmates, tell everyone - and come and join us!
