DUD fantasy trip

Just as an exercise and because it would be interesting...if we were to organise the ultimate DUD Disney trip where would it go and what would it involve? Remembering the round the world one that I couldn't go on and also reading Sandie's reports has given me the travel itch something chronic. I almost didn't take the turnoff to work today because I just wanted to keep driving so planning a fantasy trip might help scratch the itch.

And, is there a DUD trip in the future anyway?

Nothing immediate in the pipelines, although we were talking sometime ago about a trip to San Francisco for the opening of the Walt Disney Family Museum at The Presidio. We've also discussed the possibility of a club cruise. There is nothing firm yet - I think we'll wait for some big "Disney Events" to be announced before we make serious plans. Our last two club tours were big event driven - the world tour coincided with 1st Anniversary of HKDL and the end of the Disneyland 50th celebrations - and this year's tour was for the Tokyo 25th Anniversary.

I'm looking forward to something major in 2011. That'll be a big year. Opening of the Hawaii Resort, launch of the new Disney Cruise Ship, opening of Cars Land in DCA, 40th Anniversary of WDW. The Disney stars are aligning in 2011!! Maybe some new attractions in Hong Kong and Paris too that year?? I'd love to do another world Disney tour...

What about a Disney Adventure tour? I would love to do the one that goes into the studios etc.

I really want to get to Paris as it is my only disneypark i havent done. i would also like to go back to tokyo in the near future.... Shame it won't be for a while cause of this little one....

A club trip around 2011 would be great.

It could be the “DUD Biggest Fan Club Trip”, not necessarily meaning the most locations visited,
but getting the most number of club members to attend any one trip together to a Disney Park.

We did our first ever Disney Park trip in January this year to Hong Kong with our children and had a fantastic time. While my husband isn’t into rides he really enjoyed all the shows.

We started with the smallest of the Disney Parks but now it’s time to start thinking about the big parks.
OK to be honest I was thinking about the next Disney trip before the plane even landed back in Sydney.

My husband and I have never been to the USA and have been talking about doing a trip around 2010 or 2011.

Looking forward to seeing how much interest there is with a Club Trip as 2011 approaches.

Now I just heard on a "window to the magic" podcast that there is a Disney fan meet next year that includes DL and a west coast cruise. They already have a number of big name imagineers etc lined up. They are accepting holding deposits of $25 USD through Jana at Mainstreet Travel. When I know more I'll let you know!
