I'll just nip down to the shops and get my red hair dye before they all run out!

Can anyone confirm the location of this event? I've just had an enquiry from a potential member and realised that the address isn't mentioned anywhere.

Oops - there's an oversight! :)
The hall we use is at St Mark's Church 211-213 Auburn Road Yagoona - it is pretty much on the corner of Auburn Road and the Hume Highway, entry is off Auburn Road. Look for the Down Under Disneyana signs at the driveway entrance.

Hi to everyone,

The potential member was me and thanks again for letting me know where the next event will be held - I'll try to make it.

By way of introduction - my name is Mike and I live in Sydney (Kingsford to be exact). I was born in Canada and after spending many family vacations at Disney World, ended up working at Epcot for 18 months as my first job out of uni. I moved to Australia 8 years ago after living in London and briefing working in the Disney Store on Regent Street.

I look forward to meeting everyone and hopefully contributing something new to the group!

Hiya Mike! Welcome aboard :)

We love seeing new faces at our meetings - and our next meeting is going to be pretty special with the Pirates theme celebrating the release of the new movie.

How did you like your Epcot experience? I'm sure we'll all be interested to hear any behind the scenes stories.

Catch you soon.
Keith

Yay, the Pirates meeting is nearly here. \:D/

My only concern is how I'm going to get from where I am staying to the meeting and back, not knowing Sydney at all, and it being dark by the time I have to make my way back. Can anyone give me some tips or maybe even a lift to and from the meeting?

Any help would be appreciated. [-o<

Parramatta - that shouldn't be a problem at all. I'm aiming to be at the hall around 2:00pm to help Wayne set up (I'm bringing the conference phone) so we'll have to pick you up from Parra around 1:30 if that's okay.

You can email the address to keith (at) dudisneyana.info

You'll be picked up in style by a Pirate and a Wench...

...I'll be the one wearing the Pirate suit :) !

And remember to bring something warm - it does get very cold some nights in that hall - despite the heating...!

Arrrrrr , you be gems to be sure! =D>

I'll be the one semi-in-costume (some of it didn't pan out and I've now run out of time)... Better make sure I bring my camera (unlike what I did last weekend for Disney on Ice - leaving my good camera in my luggage #-o )

Cant wait! This is going to be fun!

And Thanks so much. :D I'll email the address to you soon.

Wow, that's a big call, you haven't met us yet :) After spending 20 minutes in the car listening to my terrible pirate accent and pirate jokes, you'll be wishing you stayed in Horsham! I've been emailing pirate jokes to Nicole (Al's Gal) all week, until she BEGGED me to stop...

It'll be a great night!

As I sit here filling in the last 20 entry formsI have for the donut king competition (which ends today incidently!) I was thinking about last night and how much fun it was - Wayneyou did a great job and you did too Julie!! It was all done by the time I got there to help!

And I think what made it great was the victorius domination of the Interceptor -the fastest ship ever built!

Great to meet you all and thanks for including me (despite my lack of pirate garb).

Have a good trip home Lisa - keep flying the Wicked Wench flag high!

Yes, the Wicked Wenches rule - although the Interceptor did a good job (but I'm sure they had 17 people on their team compared to our six...:) )

Sandie's pirate game had to be a highlight - plundering fellow club members for gold has never been so satisfying. :D
